Studying Ways to Create Discourse of Modern Islamic Civilization from Path of Hajj and Pilgrimage
At the meeting of the members of the Strategic Council of the Secretariat of Modern Islamic Civilization with Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs and Supervisor of Iranian pilgrims Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab, the ways of creating a discourse on the Islamic Modern Civilization from the field of Hajj and Pilgrimage were discussed.
As reported by Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Information Base, Head of the Supreme Leader’s Representative Office in Tehran University Hojjat al-Islam Mohammad Mehdi Karami together with members of the Strategic Council of the secretariat of Modern Islamic Civilization met and conferred with Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs and Supervisor of Iranian pilgrims Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab on Sunday.
At the meeting that was attended by several deputies and managers of the Supreme Leader’s Representative Office and officials of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, the strategies of creating a discourse on the modern Islamic civilization were examined through the two great congresses of Hajj and Arbaeen, and the participants expressed their views on the functions of Hajj and pilgrimage in the field of the modern Islamic civilization.
During the meeting, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab pointed to the measures taken at the Supreme Leader’s Representative Office in relation to the recommendations and guidelines of the Supreme Leader with regard to moving towards the realization of Modern Islamic Civilization, and stressed the need for more cooperation and interaction between the Secretariat of Modern Islamic Civilization and the Research Institute of Hajj and Visitation in Qom, as well as clerics, caravan managers, and missionaries familiar with foreign languages.
Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs and Supervisor of Iranian pilgrims Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab addressed the process outlined in the new Islamic civilization in the statement of the second step of the Islamic revolution and mentioned the clauses of this statement as one of the contents that can be used in generating common issues between the university elites and the servants of the pilgrims in the path of realizing the theory of the new Islamic civilization.
He pointed to the preparedness of the Supreme Leader’s Representative Office for operational cooperation with the secretariat of Modern Islamic Civilization Secretariat with the aim of synergy of capacities, necessitated organizing a series of efforts in this field and termed the lifestyle as real part of Modern Islamic Civilization and creating civilization.
According to this report, Head of the Supreme Leader’s Representative Office in Tehran University Hojjat al-Islam Mohammad Mehdi Karami while referring to the importance of the international dimension of Hajj, stipulated that for reaching the main components of the modern Islamic civilization in the field of Hajj and Pilgrimage, theorists of various institutions and centers active in this field, especially the mission of the Supreme Leader and the secretariat of the modern Islamic civilization, can play an effective role.
He added that while communicating with the elites and pilgrims of Islamic countries, it is possible to open the chapter of elite discourse among people who believe in the idea of modern Islamic civilization and benefit from its fruits in Hajj and Arbaeen rituals.
