Head of Iranian Hajj Pilgrims:
Commitments of Iran’s Pilgrims Company Need to Be Followed-Up

Head of Iranian Hajj Pilgrims called on Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization’s deputy for Hajj and Umrah to find appropriate solution for following up on the commitments of Iran’s Pilgrims Company.

As reported by Hajj Information Base, during Monday’s meeting of the Planning and Coordination Council of the Supreme Leader’s Representative Office and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, Supreme Leader’s representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs and Supervisor of Iranian pilgrims Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab said that as an employer, we must defend the rights of the pilgrims of our country, and according to the rules, the company must fulfill its obligations during the pilgrimage.


 


During the meeting, Head of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Seyed Sadeq Hosseini reported on the follow-ups and correspondence between the two sides and stipulated that the list of services was prepared to be reflected to the Saudi company which can be followed up, and “we emphasized in the meetings we had with the officials of this company during the Hajj that it should be done within the framework of the commitments.


 


“We have said many times that as a recipient of services, we should have the power to choose, and this method, which is a precondition for issuing visas and withdrawing fees through the Masar system, shows the unilateral and exclusive treatment of the host country's company, which is not legitimate and acceptable,” he added.


 


During the meeting, Head of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Seyed Sadeq Hosseini referred to the conditions of holding Hajj 1401 and called the reduction of part of the costs with the follow-up carried out by the Pilgrims Company before dispatch of the pilgrims to Saudi Arabia productive, and at the same time, he stipulated that defending the rights of the pilgrims is an inherent duty of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization and that this organization fulfills the obligations of the Saudi Hajj officials.


 


The Supreme Leader’s representative in in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs also stated that the main approach of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization and the Supreme Leader’s representative office is and will be to reduce the costs of Hajj, and stipulated that the priority in reducing the costs is related to the figures that the Iranian Pilgrims Company receives without specific rules and agreements, while the broker Must act according to the opinion of the employer.


 


Based on this report, this meeting continued by presenting a report regarding the plan to upgrade the level of the Arbaeen headquarters according to the investigations and pathologies that were conducted, and the deputies and managers present in the meeting expressed their opinions about some of its clauses, and it was decided that by carrying out amendments, this plan should be prepared for presentation in the next meeting of the Supreme Council of Hajj and Pilgrimage.
