Iran, Bangladesh welcome developing cooperation in hajj and pilgrimage
At the meeting of Bangladesh Ambassador in Iran with the Supreme Leader’s representative in hajj and Pilgrimage affairs, two sides welcomed the development of cooperation between the two countries in the field of Hajj and Pilgrimage.
As reported by hajj and pilgrimage organisation information base, Ambassador of Bangladesh in Iran Mr. A’azam Sarker met today with the Supreme Leader’s representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs and head of the Iranian pilgrims Hojjat al-Islam Seyyed Abdol Fattah Nawab. At the meeting which held in the Supreme Leader Delegation Office, two sides discussed ways of expanding cooperation between Iran and Bangladesh in the field of Hajj and Pilgrimage and the journey of Bangladeshi pilgrims to holy places in Iran. Stating that Bangladesh as one of the big Islamic countries in the region has a huge Muslim capital, Hojjat al-Islam Nawab said at the meeting that the approach of the Islamic Republic of Iran in relating to Islamic countries is based on strong relations, brotherly spirit, synergy, balanced progress and mutual benefits. considering Hajj as a good opportunity for Muslims to communicate with each other, Supreme Leader’s representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs referring to the meetings held by the Hajj delegations of the two countries in the past years in the Land of Revelation, invited the Bangladesh Minister of Religion to visit Tehran. Two sides welcomed the development of cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Bangladesh in the field of Hajj and Pilgrimage at this meeting. referring to the knowledge of Farsi language by the people of different Southeast Asian countries, Supreme Leader’s representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs added: there are more than thousand works In the Research Institute of Hajj and Pilgrimage in Qom that can be used by the audience in Bangladesh. Referring to the views and cultural commonalities of two countries, the long history of the Persian language in Bangladesh and the interest of this country’s people to Farsi language, the ambassador of Bangladesh in Iran also said: the roots of the relationship between two nations lie in our culture and religion, and it has been going on for centuries. Stating that the dialogue and interaction of two countries’ officials in religion are in line with the constructive relations between two countries and two nations, Mr. A’azam Sarker emphasized: We want good relations and unity between Islamic countries. He also said Iran and Bangladesh cooperate with each other in various international and regional organizations including the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. Referring to the progress of the Islamic Republic of Iran in various fields and the desire of Bangladesh to develop relations with Iran, he said: There is an opportunity to develop tourism, including in the field of pilgrimage between the two countries. In the continuation of this meeting, Supreme Leader’s representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage called the Arbaeen Congress as the largest human gathering on the planet, which has been welcomed by Muslims and followers of different religions and can convey the lessons of Imam Hosseini movement to the world. He also mentioned the efforts of the Islam enemies to create differences among Muslims and emphasized: the Islamic world can take effective steps towards all-round progress with the unity of the word and good communication between its people, scholars and officials, and Arbaeen is a very good opportunity.
