Hojjat al-Islam Navvab: Avoiding Formal Work in Serving Holy Sites Pilgrims Needed
Supreme Leader's Representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs stressed the necessity to avoid formal and superficial work in providing services to the pilgrims of holy sites and requested to be informed about the activities and executive and cultural programs in this area.
According to Hajj Information Base, Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab while addressing a gathering of representatives of the central companies of pilgrimage agents across the country, gave recommendations for better service to the pilgrims of Imam Hossein (AS), and emphasized that pilgrimage agents as servants of the pilgrims must be loyal to the covenant they make with those who wish to travel to the holy sites and fulfill it.
He asked the attendees to review the activities of the Central Company of Pilgrimage Service Offices of All Iran (Shamsa), to work with a jihadist spirit, to cooperate and interact with the organization of Hajj and Pilgrimage, to use new ideas and thoughts for dynamism.
Moreover, he called for timely payment of financial obligations, elimination of deficiencies and movement towards improving things and said that by transformation and optimization, take a step in the path of better and smoother service to pilgrims and look away from this valuable service from the label of profiteering.
Hojjat al-Islam Navvab continued to discuss some of the problems of pilgrimages to holy sites, including the latest changes in hotels where pilgrims stay in the cities of Karbala and Najaf, the lack of proper allocation of rooms to pilgrims, avoiding overcrowding during cultural and pilgrimage programs, providing statistics.
He reminded the pilgrims that the information and statistics are up-to-date in the system, avoiding justification, denial and projection in relation to problems, the need to adhere to promises, speed up repayments and respect the rights of companies operating in the provinces.
He emphasized that the Supreme Leader's office and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization have always welcomed new proposals and solutions to problems with the aim of providing better services to pilgrims.
In another part of his speech, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab while referring to verse 110 of Surah Baqarah said that whatever you do in obedience to the truth and good work, you will find it in the presence of God, and indeed God sees your every work.
He said that sometimes a smile and a kind look of the agent conveys the message of hope to the pilgrim, and if it is forceful, it will cause heartbreak.
Hojjat al-Islam Navvab added that God is all-knowing, all-seeing and He pays attention to the things that man does, and a man who is not careful will be deceived in this house of pride.
The Supreme Leader's representative pointed out the importance of insight and said that the religion of Islam has called man to insigh.
He compared the behavior and actions of the two figures of the early Islamic era, Abdul Rahman bin Muljam, the murderer of Imam Ali (AS) and Amro bin Qarza Ansari who was friend of Imam Hossein (AS) in Karbala.
Ibn Muljam, due to his lack of insight and ignorance, was tricked by the devil and martyred the Imam Ali (AS) while Amro bin Qarza sought permission from the Imam of his time (Imam Hossein) to fight, and he fought like someone who was eager to receive divine reward.
Based on the report, in the continuation of this meeting of Deputy Head of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization for Atabat Hojjat al-Islam Sohbatollah Rahmani called the maximum attraction of pilgrims in the new round of pilgrimages to holy sites as one of the priorities of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization.
Referring to the role of central companies of pilgrimage agents across the country said in this year's dispatches in order to achieve this goal and satisfy the pilgrims, in addition to strengthening the strengths and eliminating the weaknesses, the assistance of all those involved is necessary.
