Iranian delegation talks with Saudi Minister of Hajj on Hajj 1402
During the meeting of the Planning and Coordination Council of the Supreme Leader's Representative Office and Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization that was held with the presence of the Hajj officials, the main points of the initial negotiations between the Hajj officials and the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah regarding Hajj 1402 were reviewed.
According to the Hajj Information Base, the meeting of the Planning and Coordination Council of the Supreme Leader's Representative Office and the Organization of Hajj and Pilgrimage was held under the chairmanship of Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab.
During the meeting, Head of the Iranian Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Seyed Sadeq Hosseini said that the foreign exchange that was allocated for 37,000 pilgrims who registered in 2020 is with the Central Bank of Iran and the government has agreed to allocate 250 million dollars for the remainder of the upcoming Hajj quota.
He stated that the total number of pilgrims who will be sent to Saudi Arabia in Hajj 1402 is 87,550, adding, "The rate committee is compiling the table of costs and rates of price groups, and pilgrims can get information about this rate at the time of registration and choose their favorable caravan.
The head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization also gave a detailed report about the negotiations of the Iranian delegation with Saudi officials and companies providing Hajj and Umrah services on the sidelines of the Hajj Expo 2023.
Mr. Hosseini elaborated that the increase in the power of choice in receiving services compared to the past will have positive effects on providing Hajj services.
Deputy Head of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization for Hajj and Umrah Akbar Rezaei, meantime, said that under the current conditions, new railways are needed in the Hajj operations, and a delegation will be sent to Saudi Arabia to follow up contracts in the areas of accommodation, food, transportation and other sectors as soon as possible.
Also speaking during meeting, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab asked the relevant authorities to finalize the costs of the upcoming Hajj as soon as possible and to inform the pilgrims who are waiting about the payment method.
Referring to the report submitted that 270,000 people who have Hajj documents are still undecided, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab said that the necessary information about these people should be extracted and prepared.
The head of the Iranian Hajj Pilgrims also asked the deputies and managers of the Supreme Leader's office and those of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization to make a new plan in order to reduce the per capita brokerage in the cultural and administrative fields according to the description of the duties of the people, and by reducing this figure to 5% pave the way for sending more pilgrims and also save money.
He also demanded to follow up on the issue of sending pilgrims to Saudi Arabia through Tayef airport as the third airport, holding the Komeil prayers, the blood money of the martyrs of Mena, the lack of payment of paying the blood money to some of the injured in the crash of the crane in the Grand Mosque, and following up on the cost of the services that the pilgrims participated in the last Hajj incompletely or It has not provided at all.
The meeting ended with the presentation of the report by Mehran Farshid, Director General of the Office of Plans and Programs, Information Technology and Cyberspace Security of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, about the goals and programs of the Hajj Expo 2023 exhibition, and the representative of the Supreme Leader in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs recommended the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization's deputies to consider these things in their planning.
