Imam Khomeini's Life is Manifestation of Great Effort (Jihad) Explanation

“Late Imam was always engaged in enlightenment and even during the period of exile and he did not forget the Jihad of Explanation,” Hojjat al-Islam Navvab said.

According to Hajj Information Base, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab after the ceremony to renew the allegiance with the ideals of late Imam Khomeini in the shrine of the founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran stressed that in various stages of the life of Imam Khomeini there is a wave of Jihad.

Head of the Iranian pilgrims, who spoke to the officials, managers and employees of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization and the pilgrims of the shrine of the Great Architect of the Revolution, stated that the Imam of the Ummah accepted all hardships for the development of the people.

“Prison, exile to Turkey and Iraq and the martyrdom of his son cost Imam his life so that the society would grow, a point that the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution mentions as a jihad of explanation and enlightenment for others,” he added.

Hojjat al-Islam Navvab pointed to examples of the behavior of the Imam of the Ummah during the struggle and exile to confront the distortions against Islam and Shia and clarified that Jihad of explanation is to eliminate the distortion, and the Imam has many of his works in this direction.

He stated that the life of the Imam of the Ummah (RA) is a manifestation of the Jihad of Explanation, adding that the regime of Shah thought that the light of guidance would be turned off with the exile of Imam Khomeini, while the Imam guided and enlightened the people with written and audio messages, and even during the exile period Imam Khomeini did not forget the explanation of Jihad.

He went on to say that Imam Khomeini addressed his letter to Gorbachev at the peak of communism's power and the late Imam also issued his religious verdict against Salman Rushdie, the author of the book Satanic Verses, and said, “Some who carry the name of Islam and consider themselves as the custodians of Muslim affairs kept silent about the publication of this book, but the Imam of the Ummah, in line with the Jihad of explanation and enlightenment, ordered Salman Rushdie's apostasy, even though he knew that this stance would cost him and the country.”

He explained the everyday life of Imam and the divine political will of the great leader of the Islamic Revolution in the direction of Jihad, adding, “This will was written with care and patience and there are many subtleties and instructive points in it, which are necessary for those who follow the path of Islam and the Imam to read Imam’s will.”

He then pointed to a narration from Imam Javad (AS) which says the one who hides the right path from you because of following your wishes has undoubtedly made an enemy of you, and said, “According to this narration, Imam Khomeini carried out the Jihad of explanation in the best way and did not give up enlightenment in any of the stages of his life.”

Hojjat al-Islam Navvab and Head of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization accompanied with the deputies, managers and employees of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization concurrent with the beginning of the ten-day-dawn attended the holy shrine of late Imam and renewed allegiance with the ideals of the great architect of the Islamic Revolution.
