Baqi Illuminating World
Supreme Leader's Representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab described the Baqi cemetery in Medina, Saudi Arabia as the second holiest place in the world, which contains the holy bodies of the four infallible imams.
According to Hajj Information Base, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab said in a meeting with participating centers and effective institutions in the establishment of the Baqi International Congress that Baqi cemetery shines like a huge lamp in the world.
He said that Baqi is a holy place where the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) was regularly present and whenever the Prophet's wife was looking for him, she found him in Baqi.
He stated that Baqi' was the place of the Prophet's connection with God and the place of teaching knowledge to the Companions, adding that So far in the history of oppression, there has been no oppression of the imams of Baqi' and we have gathered today to remove the darkness and oppression from the face of Baqi'.
Hojjat al-Islam Navvab appreciated the support and participation of research centers and seminaries in the establishment of the Baqi International Congress on the Burial of Imams and Companions, and said, "We should all be thankful to God that at such a time, we have success in introducing the Imams of Baqi (peace be upon them) and companions."
"We must use all our power to hold this Congress as grandly as possible," he added.
In this meeting, the head of Hajj and Pilgrimage Research Institute gave a report on the activities carried out in connection with the holding of the International Congress on the Burial of Imams and Companions, and said: 35 research and cultural centers have been consulted for participation and cooperation in holding this congress by these centers have been well received.
Dr. Mirza Alizadeh added that in order to make the scientific part of the congress more productive, the ISC scientific research credit was obtained in cooperation with the Research Institute of Islamic Sciences and Culture, and the poster of the congress was also designed and printed.
Referring to the successful holding of Baqi's consensus, the jewel of Islamic heritage in 2019 and the international Baqi's conference of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and the companions of the Prophet (peace be upon him) in May 1400, he published 7 volumes of books on the topics Related to Baqi, he informed about the efforts of Hajj and Pilgrimage Research Institute.
"Thanks to the efforts of this research institute, specialized meetings have been organized to recognize the historical nature of Bayt Al-Ahzan in Baqi and pilgrimages to the shrines of the imams of Baqi from the point of view of Sunnis," he added.
Also in the meeting, a number of representatives of research centers and seminaries participating in the establishment of the Congress, while presenting a report on the activities carried out, expressed their views and concerns for the magnificent and passionate establishment of the Baqi International Congress.
Different issues were raised in the the congress including setting up an information base on Baqi in Persian and Urdu languages, preparation of Dar al-Hadith Institute to produce narrative content on the subject of Baqi, use of research capacities in line with the establishment of the Congress, preparation of the Shia Studies Center for the promotion of the Congress and evaluation of articles at the international level.
Other issues raised were preparation of the university educators to use the capacities of students and educators and use their pens to explain the capacity of Baqi, use the capacities of missionaries associated with the Organization of Islamic Culture and Communication in all parts of the world to promote the literature of Baqi, use the nationwide network of Friday imams in the country for Production of content, writing of scientific articles on the subject of imams buried in Baqi, the preparation of the holy threshold of Hazrat Fatima Masoumeh (AS) in order to hold the meetings before the congress, emphasizing the use of students and young generations in holding the congress.
Other issues focused on were the preparation of the Institute of Islamic Religions for the establishment of a gathering with the presence of Sunni scholars and taking advantage of their abilities in producing and evaluating articles and announcing the readiness of a study center to hold scientific meetings in India and Bangladesh.
In the continuation of this meeting, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab while appreciating the participation and companionship of research centers in holding the first international congress of Imams and Companions, pointed out that this congress should become a basis for the participation of other Islamic countries in the congresses in the future.
"The articles sent to the Congress should be increased and the Organization of Islamic Culture and Communication and the World Assembly of Ahl al-Bayt should be able to use their writings and scientific works while communicating with other scholars," he added.
Hojjat al-Islam Navvab said that today, this opportunity is available to each of us and we must try to take this opportunity to introduce and remove the shadow of exile from the faces of the Imams of Baqi and their companions buried in Baqi.
Honoring the memory and name of Ayatollah Rey Shahri, he recalled that this man of God always used every bit of his life to serve the Infallible Imams (peace be upon them) and in the trips "I was with him, I saw that how did they study and research, even while traveling, they left the remnants of good deeds for themselves.
