Honoring and introducing Ceremony of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Chairman

According to Hajj Information Base, at the ceremony of honoring and introducing the former and new heads of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization which was held in this organization, Supreme Leader’s Representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab referred to two narrations of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and Imam Ali (AS) in relation to taking responsibility and being accountable to it and stated: The Holy Prophet of Islam says that God asks every manager and supervisor about what he has been responsible for; whether he has taken good care of it or ruined it.

Appreciating the services of the previous head of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Mr. Seyyed Sadegh Hosseini in the areas of Hajj al-Tamattu’ and Pilgrimage trips to holy shrines in Iraq and Syria and also Arbaeen journey, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab stated: he solved the problems of Atabat travels as far as possible.

Head of the Iranian Pilgrims also considered serving in the field of Hajj and Pilgrimage to Mr. Seyyed Abbas Hosseini, the new head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, as a divine success and described the responsibility so important.

Stating that we should all learn from these events, added: "Every one of us, wherever we are, will come to honor the work we have done, and this is a lesson for us that to work and do effective work as long as we have opportunity.

Addressing the new head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Supreme Leader’s Representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs said: your responsibility is one of the most difficult in Iran since the right of the people should preserve, and you should try to serve the people who have trusted this organization for Hajj, Umrah, and Atabat-e-Aliyat as they deserve.

He reminded the efforts to hold worthy Hajj and pointing out that today's Hajj is very different from the past, he stated: In the past, the pressures of the enemies were not so great and the cooperation of the host country and the Umrah facilitated some difficulties, but now we haven’t the political representative in this country, and while we have entered the month of Sha'ban, the prices of all Hajj hotels have not been extracted yet. These issues require more attention in order to hold a proper Hajj.

Referring to the presence of the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance at this meeting, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab emphasized: the meeting of the Supreme Council of Hajj should be followed up and held as soon as possible under the chairmanship of Mr. President, the status of aviation, currency and other issues related to this area should be determined, people have been waiting for years to visit the land of revelation.

Supreme Leader’s Representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs further ordered the new head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization that the Supreme Council of Pilgrimage has assigned tasks to the Hajj Organization that must be followed up and resolved.

He also considered it necessary to pay attention to the promotion of scientific knowledge and the employees being up-to-date. Hojjat al-Islam Navvab also requested to study, review and prepare a comprehensive solution for the use of voluntary and honorary brokers among the A group brokers, observing and maintaining the principle of manpower development, so with the required abilities and brilliant record serve pilgrims voluntarily.

Addressing the colleagues of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization and Supreme Leader’s Representative Office, he said: for the first time in the Islamic Republic of Iran, an official is placed in charge of the Hajj and Pilgrimage organization who is within this group.

We appreciate the hard work of all the former managers and we know what difficult days and nights they have gone through in year 1366 and the Mena tragedy, even though it is difficult to hold Hajj in a normal situation, he said.
