Uzbek Ambassador Meets with Supreme Leader's Representative in Hajj Affairs
The Uzbek ambassador in Iran met with Supreme Leader's Representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab.
According to the Hajj Information Base, Uzbekistan's Ambassador in Tehran Bahador Abdullahov met and talked with Hojjat al-Islam Navvab on Tuesday.
The two sides discussed cooperation of the two countries in the pilgrimage affairs.
During the meeting, which also attended by Cultural Attache of the Uzbek Embassy in Tehran, the two sides welcomed the existing religious and cultural commonalities between the two countries an called for interactions of the relevant authorities in the field of pilgrimage.
Hojjat al-Islam Navvab said that the Supreme Leader's office is trying to provide more cultural services to pilgrims on pilgrimage trips, Umrah and the holy pilgrimage in Iraq and Syria, along with religious activities.
The Supreme Leader's representative pointed to Imam Ummah's views on Mecca and Medina and their position in the Islamic world, and said, "The Supreme Leader's Representative Office and the Uzbek Hajj Committee can cooperate in the Hajj and pilgrimage field."
"The Hajj and pilgrimage research has published more than one thousand works in various fields, including history, customs, rituals and interpretation of the verses of the Holy Quran and the words and beliefs about the Hajj," he added.
Hojjat al-Islam Navvab pointed out that the needs of pilgrims who overlook the land of revelation and the sacred proposal, and voiced cooperation with he Uzbek officials.
The Head of the Iranian pilgrims said that more than a million Iranian applicants have been waiting for many years to go on Hajj pilgrimage,.
He expressed hope that the host country has been better and more smooth, with the better facilities and restrictions.
The two sides explained how the pilgrims were dispatched to the land of revelation, and the Uzbek ambassador explained the length and cost of pilgrims' travel to the Hajj and Umrah.
Abdullahov also referred to the interest of Uzbek Muslims in the Ahlul -Bayt (PBUH) and the pilgrimage to the holy shrine of Razavi and the sacred pilgrimage in Iraq, saying that the pilgrimage provides the opportunity to consolidate the relations between the two countries in the field. Hajj and pilgrimage welcomed.
Referring to the history of religious and scientific centers in Samarkand and Bukhari and the presence of many Islamic countries to visit these centers, he said: "His country is preparing a large collection of Islamic civilization, which includes Islamic civilization and culture in the region, especially Central Asia."
