Dispatch of Dozens Nowruz Caravans to Atabat Starts

It was announced at the meeting of the Planning and Coordination Council of the Supreme Leader’s Representative Office and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab said that land and air missions of Nowruz celebrations will be carried out in the form of dozens of caravans from different provinces.

According to the Hajj Information Base, during the meeting of the Planning and Coordination Council of the Supreme Leader's Representative Office and the Organization of Hajj and Pilgrimage which was held under the chairmanship of Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab, the Supreme Leader's representative for Hajj and Pilgrimage and the head of Iranian pilgrims the deputy of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization was appointed.


He announced the start of registration in 90 caravans from ten o'clock this Monday morning in the first phase.


"The cost of traveling in six and seven-night caravans by land will be about six million four hundred and seven million four hundred thousand tomans," Hojjat al-Islam Navvab added.


He announced the creation of new capacities in the coming days and the start of the missions from Esfand 23, and said that the applicants should refer to the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization's pilgrimage registration system at the address atabatorg.haj.ir.


Referring to the stabilization of the exchange rate for pilgrimages in this period, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab said that given the number of applicants is expected to increase, the Vice-Chancellor of Atabat will try to send more people interested in this trip in the remaining time. 


The meeting continued with the reports by Mr. Akbar Rezaei and Mr. Hamid Reza, the Deputy Heads of Hajj and Umrah and the Development of Management and Resources of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, about the planned arrangements for providing services in the fields of housing, food, transportation, and Hajj currency transfer.


Mr. Rezaei described the reception of the upcoming Hajj registration as very good and pointing out that 80% of the registrations in the caravans have been completed, and said, "So far, the ratio of men and women in the caravans is 47% and 53%.


He added that in the continuation of the registration process, the conditions of each province will be checked, and if there is an empty capacity, the new registration priorities will be announced on a daily basis.


In the continuation of this meeting, Mr. Dr. Seyed Ali Marashi, the head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Medical Center, talked about the plans made to provide medical services to pilgrims in Medina and Mecca, and how to conduct pre-trip examinations and inject vaccines announced by the host country to Hajj pilgrims.


The head of Iranian pilgrims also called for the necessary follow-up in this regard from the Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education and emphasized that coordination should be made with the relevant officials in Saudi Arabia so that proper services are provided to the pilgrims from the moment they arrive.


Among other topics discussed in this meeting was the report by Mr. Seyed Abbas Hosseini, the head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, regarding the previous meeting with the presence of the Ministers of Roads and Urban Development, Culture and Islamic Guidance and the officials of the aviation complex regarding the provision of Hajj 1402 flights.


Hojjat al-Islam Navvab also emphasized that the contract with the airline company and the ticket price should be finalized as soon as possible by following up and obtaining the necessary permits.
