Supreme Leader's Representative Plants Saplings on Tree Planting Day
On the eve of the arrival of nature's spring and on the occasion of tree planting day, the Supreme Leader's Representative and Head of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization planted two-stemmed fruit saplings in the green area of this organization.
According to the Hajj Information Base, on the eve of the arrival of nature's spring and on the occasion of tree planting day, Hojjat al-Islam Abdolfattah Navvab and Seyed Abbas Rezaei in memory of more than 300 servants of Hajj and pilgrims who passed away over last three years planted two fruit seedlings in the Hajj Organization's premises.
In this ceremony, which was attended by a number of deputies and managers of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization and the Supreme Leader's representative office mission of the Supreme Leader, Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab and Mr. Seyed Abbas Hosseini participated by planting two fruit seedlings in this good tradition emphasized in the holy Islamic law.
In this ceremony, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab in his speech reminded the importance of development and maintenance of green space and said that every year during these days this important and rewarding work is done and this year we are doing this action in memory of more than three hundred loved ones and the servants who passed away during last three years.
He further pointed out the impact and role of tree planting and environmental protection in improving air quality and emphasized the need to pay attention to planting and caring for trees in different parts of the country, especially in areas that have less green space.
Hojjat al-Islam Navvab also pointed to the green spaces and trees in the area of the Hajj and Pilgrimage organization and the proper care and maintenance of this space, and by quoting a narration from the Holy Prophet (PBUH) said every tree that is planted is a current charity and like other ongoing beneficial deeds such as digging canals, people and society benefit from it.
He reiterated that humans need air just as they need water to survive, and trees purify the air day and night, and we can improve it by caring for and planting trees so let's have a role and influence in this process.
