President Raisi Calls for Synergy among Hajj Officials for Serving Pilgrims

Iranian President Seyed Ebrahim Raisi while emphasizing on the preparation for better utilization of the spirituality and blessings of Hajj by the pilgrims of the House of God, obliged implementing and handling agencies of Hajj affairs to divide the labor correctly and have discipline in action and behavior, to provide suitable conditions for providing safe and relaxing services to pilgrims.

According to Hajj Information Base, Speaking in the meeting of the Supreme Council of Hajj and Pilgrimage, President Raisi referred to the importance of the divine ritual of Hajj and its spiritual, social and political functions and effects for the great Islamic Ummah, and said, "All those involved and institutions related to the celebration of Hajj should fulfil their duties with synergy and coherence in providing services to the pilgrims of the House of God."


Emphasizing on the preparation for better utilization of the spirituality and blessings of Hajj by the pilgrims of the House of God, the President urged executing and handling agencies of Hajj affairs to divide the labor correctly and have discipline in action and behavior, to provide suitable conditions for providing safe and relaxing services to pilgrims.


Recognizing the importance of the role of the Supreme Council of Hajj in advancing the affairs of this important divine duty, President Raisi urged this council to draw a road map and organize the facilities, to use all capacities for the grand celebration of the Hajj, including transportation and service.


In the meeting of the Supreme Council of Hajj, the issues and needs and actions related to next year's Hajj and pilgrimages to other shrines, including Iraq and Syria, were discussed.


Reducing the duration of the Hajj pilgrimage and also the cooperation of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance and the Central Bank in granting a loan of 60 million riyals to the pilgrims of the holy places were among the approvals of this council in today's meeting.


In addition, the amount of 35 million dollars with the approved rate of 285 thousand Rials has been considered for the implementation of pilgrimages to the holy shrines of Iraq and Syria, and it was decided that every applicant for a pilgrimage to the Hajj and the shrines of the highest places, like other travelers to foreign destinations, will be allocated an amount of 500 dollars. 


According to another resolution, it was decided that all the pilgrims to the House of God will be transported to Saudi Arabia and returned to the country by domestic airlines under the responsibility and management of the Civil Aviation Organization.
