Hajj and Umrah Deputy Head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Akbar Rezaei announced that in order to fill the remaining capacities in some provinces, holders of Hajj documents will be invited on a day-by-day basis, and it is expected to be filled within the next few days.

According to the Hajj Information Base, the meeting of the Planning and Coordination Council of the Supreme Leader's Representative Office and the Organization of Hajj and Pilgrimage was held under the chairmanship of Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab, the Supreme Leader's representative for Hajj and Pilgrimage and the head of Iranian pilgrims


During the meeting Rezaei added that in this regard, it has been entrusted with the management of Hajj and Pilgrimage of the concerned provinces.


He also announced the increase in the number of convoys of 160 and 180 people due to the reduction of executive forces and their allocation to pilgrims and pointed to the follow-up for the use of wide-body aircraft with the aim of reducing the duration of the Hajj journey.


The Hajj and Umrah deputy of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization added that this year, a couple caravans were well received, and with the planning done, the fees for the upcoming Hajj will be received according to the services provided and the length of the pilgrims' journey.


The Supreme Leader's representative, meantime, called for the continuation of follow-ups to shorten the length of the Hajj journey and considered the planning made regarding the collection of expenses for the duration of the Hajj journey as a constructive action in line with the observance of justice.


Hojjat al-Islam Navvab also positively evaluated the addition of two flight stations for remote areas in the upcoming Hajj and the provision of services to couple caravans in Mecca in facilitating the journey and welfare of pilgrims.


Based on this report, in the continuation of this meeting, Mr. Mehran Farshid, Director General of the Office of Plans and Programs, Information Technology and Cyberspace Security of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, reported about the smart services of Hajj and the needs of this area, and the deputy of Hajj and Umrah Organization to form the Strategic Council of Smart Hajj Services and he mentioned the formation of nine committees as a subset of this council.


Hojjat al-Islam Navvab also demanded the use of experts and those familiar with the field of Hajj and Pilgrimage in the expert discussions in this strategic council and emphasized that the provision of necessary facilities should be provided and the cooperation of forces who have the motivation to serve should be used.


In the continuation of this meeting, Dr. Seyed Ali Marashi, head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Medical Center, pointed out that so far about 34,000 pilgrims have been examined before the Hajj, and said that this process continues with speed and precision, and so far the results of the examinations of only 87 pilgrims have not been positive.


This report indicates that, in this meeting, Seyed Abbas Hosseini, the head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, described his recent meeting with Mr. Mohammad Reza Farzin, the head of the Central Bank of Iran as positive, and the exchange of views regarding the transfer of currency needed for the upcoming Hajj to Saudi Arabia and the allocation of currency to pilgrims.


He said that it was decided to sell two hundred dollars worth of Iraqi dinars to pilgrims, whose structure will be defined by the central bank with national and national banks.
