Medical Examinations of Over 66,000 Haj Pilgrims in 1402 Conducted

The head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Medical Center announced the pre-departure examinations for more than 66,000 Hajj pilgrims in 1402 by the doctors of the center.

According to the Hajj Information Base, the meeting of the Planning and Coordination Council of the Supreme Leader's Representative Office and the Organization of Hajj and Pilgrimage was held under the chairmanship of Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab, the Supreme Leader's representative for Hajj and Pilgrimage and the head of Iranian pilgrims.


During the meeting, Dr. Ali Marashi pointed out that more than 52,000 Hajj pilgrims have been tested for fitness, and 14,000 pilgrims have undergone the first stage of their examinations and are being finalized.


Also speaking during the meeting, Mr. Akbar Rezaei, Deputy Head of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization for Hajj and Umrah affairs, requested the completion of the examination process for nearly 80,000 pilgrims who have registered so far, and said, "So far, the health and ability of 122 pilgrims have not been confirmed in the examination process."


In this meeting, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab while referring to the arrival of the month of Shawwal and the opportunity of one month until the start of the mission to the land of revelation, emphasized that the need for the preparation of various units of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization for the implementation of the Hajj operation and to compensate for the shortcomings in the remaining days.


Hojjat al-Islam Navvab also asked the head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Medical Center to speed up the process of registering people's abilities in the system and determining the duties of pilgrims who need to refer to the medical commission.


In the continuation of this meeting, Mr. Hamid Reza Rahbar, the head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization's management and resource development department, said that from the investigations and follow-ups carried out regarding the transfer of currency needed for the upcoming Hajj, the method of transferring the Hajj documents of 99 people who are unable to afford it, was determined. He reported on the assignment of the status of the female assistant in the caravans.


Mr. Rezaei, the vice president of Hajj and Umrah, reported on the way Iranian pilgrims living abroad visit the land of revelation, and Dr. Marashi reported on the number of agents sent to the medical center to provide services to the pilgrims in Medina and Mecca. They reported a decrease of nearly 30% compared to Hajj 2018.


The meeting ended with the report of Hojjat al-Islam Hamid Ahmadi, the head of the cultural and educational committee of Arbaeen, about the pathology and coordination meetings held regarding the great Arbaeen Congress 1401 and the development of the future Arbaeen program. He said that various devices and institutions should be identified according to the pre-arranged program so that they can be used optimally during the Arbaeen season.
