Iran Air Prepared for Hajj Flights

The head of Iran Air announced the company's readiness to conduct the upcoming Hajj flights at a meeting of the Planning and Coordination Council of the Supreme Leader's Representative Office  and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization.

According to the Hajj Information Base, the meeting of the Planning and Coordination Council of the Supreme Leader's Representative Office and the Organization of Hajj and Pilgrimage was held under the chairmanship of Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab, the Supreme Leader's representative for Hajj and Pilgrimage and the head of Iranian pilgrims.


During the meeting Iran Air Chief Captain Shamsuddin Farzadipour announced readiness of Iran Air to carry out a huge operation to transport pilgrims to the land of revelation.


The head of Iran Air emphasized that the use of domestic capacity for pilgrims' return operations is a priority and the working groups are examining the status of flight stations in Hajj 1402.


In this meeting, Mr. Saeed Chalandari, the  CEO of Imam Khomeini Airport City (RA) also mentioned the preparations of this airport to host pilgrims from Ordibehesht 31st to Mordad 3rd.


He also gave recommendations to provide better services to pilgrims in Hajj flights through the Salam terminal, and the head of Iranian pilgrims asked the head and vice president of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization to convey these recommendations to the caravan managers.


In the continuation of this meeting, Mr. Hassan Khoshkho, Vice President of Aviation and International Affairs of the Civil Aviation Organization, while referring to the solidarity of the aviation industry to satisfy pilgrims with the Hajj 1402 operations, requested the introduction of a representative of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization to attend the meeting of the beneficiaries of this industry in order to make the necessary arrangements for Hajj 1402.


The meeting continued with a report of Mr. Gholamreza Rezaei, Hajj and Umrah deputy of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, about the recent trip of the delegation of this organization to Saudi Arabia and the actions taken in the areas of accommodation, transportation and nutrition, and logistics and coordination with Saudi companies to provide services to Iranian Hajj pilgrims.


He emphasized that in this mission, according to the existing concerns, the necessary follow-ups were done so that, God willing, no one will not face any problems in the Hajj operations.


At the end of this meeting, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab emphasized the need to pursue the issue of using Taif airport in Hajj 1402 and considered the increase of Chabahar and Qeshm flight stations as a constructive and valuable measure to facilitate the transfer of Sunni pilgrims to the land of revelation.
