Hojjat al-Islam Navvab Stresses Cooperation With Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization for Effective Holding of Hajj

Supreme Leader's Representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab emphasized the need for the efforts of the institutions cooperating with the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization to perform Hajj rituals in an acceptable manner.

According to Hajj Information Base, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab made the remarks in the meeting of the planning and coordination council of the Supreme Leader's representative office and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization.


The meeting of the Planning and Coordination Council of the Supreme Leader's Representative Office and the Organization of Hajj and Pilgrimage was held under the chairmanship of Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab, the Supreme Leader's representative for Hajj and Pilgrimage and the head of Iranian pilgrims.


During the meeting, Captain Shamsuddin Farzadipour, the CEO of Iran Air, reported on the follow-ups and measures taken to carry out the upcoming Hajj operation and the transfer of medicine and medical equipment needed by the pilgrims, and offered suggestions to reduce the volume of pilgrims' luggage on return flights.


Referring to the fact that there are less than three weeks left before the start of the Hajj transport operation, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab asked the aviation authorities and other agencies cooperating with the Hajj and Pilgrimage Group in the Hajj 1402 operation to do their best to help Hajj pilgrims have an acceptable experience.


"We expect that in addition to justifying the pilgrims, everyone will try to carry out this big operation in a calm atmosphere with minimum delay and to ensure 100% health of the passengers," the head of Iranian pilgrims added.


In the continuation of the meeting, Mr. Hamid Reza Rahbar, deputy head of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization for management and resource development reported on the follow-ups carried out in connection with the regulations for monitoring the establishment and activity of pilgrimage service offices and the points of view of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization and the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Tourism.


Hojjat al-Islam Navvab, meantime, emphasized the necessity of observing the requirements and frameworks, and said, "Considering the conditions and spiritual atmosphere of pilgrimages and pilgrims and those involved in this field, it is necessary to maintain the general principles."


During the meeting, Head of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Seyed Abbas Hosseini and his deputy for Hajj and Umrah Affairs Gholamreza Rezaei reported on the issuing of orders by the officials and those involved in various departments in Hajj 1402, the necessary or ongoing follow-ups and the contracts with the Hajj and Pilgrimage Medical Center for the provision of medical services to the pilgrims.


Hojjat al-Islam Navvab asked the executive officials of Hajj and Organization to follow up with priority and seriousness on the demands of the Iranian Pilgrims Institute which remained from last Hajj.


At the end of this meeting, Dr. Taher Daroudi, Deputy Director of Hajj and Pilgrimage Medical Center of the Red Crescent Society, pointed out that the examinations of more than 93% of Hajj pilgrims have been confirmed while about 4% are also being examined and their additional tests should be done and 2.2% of the pilgrims have not been visited by the doctors yet.


He announced the arrival of the meningitis vaccine in the country and pointed out the readiness of this center to administer the injection to the 1402 Hajj pilgrims.


The head of Iranian pilgrims, meantime, emphasized that increasing the number of pilgrims and reducing the number of expeditionary forces is one of the priorities of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization.


He also stressed the need to activate the Pilgrim Physician Project in Hajj 1402 and use the services of this group of pilgrims who are interested in cooperating with the medical center and serving the pilgrims.


"The reduction in the number of Hajj servants has always been considered in the entire Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, and the Red Crescent, which has always been active and a pioneer in dealing with people affected by natural disasters, is expected to cooperate and take the lead in this field as well," he added.
