Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization’s deputy in Hajj and Umrah affairs went to Saudi Arabia in order to following up the schedule and implementation process of the future Hajj.

As reported by Hajj Information Base, the meeting of Planning and Coordination Council of Supreme Leader Delegation Office and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization that was held by the chairmanship of Supreme Leader’s representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs and Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab. After presenting a report on the measures regarding the upcoming Hajj, Hajj and Umrah deputy of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Mr. Gholamreza Rezaei left for Saudi Arabia in order to following up the schedule and implementation process of Hajj 1402.


Stating that the executive preparations for upcoming Hajj have been done internally, such as the pilgrims’ tests, structure of headquarters, appointment of managers and etc., according to the timetable, Mr. Rezaei added the dispatching forces to Saudi Arabia are also following up on executive issues in the host country. In this trip, the matters related to the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, the company responsible for Iranian pilgrims and some hotels and also the rest of the follow-ups and preparation of kitchens in cooking food for the pilgrims will be controlled.


After Listening the views of participants at this meeting regarding the issuing visas, accommodation, food, preparations in the cities and air operations for transporting personnel and pilgrims, Supreme Leader’s representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs expressed hope that the upcoming Hajj will be successful and acceptable for the pilgrims and servants.


In the continuation of this meeting, Persian Gulf Director General of Foreign Affairs Ministry delivered a report on measures relating to bilateral relations between Riyadh and Tehran and also reopening the embassies and consulates of Iran and Saudi Arabia, and discussions held regarding Umrah.


Head of the Iranian Pilgrims also asked the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization’s officials , considering their responsibility, while coordinating with other relevant organizations, follow up on the Umrah issue in addition to Hajj programs, so that after the Hajj, by anticipating the necessary measures and proper planning, be prepared for the pilgrimage trip.


Chairman of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Mr. Seyyed Abbas Hosseini’s report about his recent trip to Syria and signing a memorandum of understanding between the Syrian Ministry of Tourism and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization in order to strengthen the relations and cooperation between two countries on dispatching pilgrims, were among the other topics of this meeting. It was announced that the memorandum of understanding will facilitate trip of pilgrims to the shrines of Hazrat Zainab and Hazrat Ruqayyah (peace be upon them).


The medical tests of Hajj 1402 pilgrims are nearing their final stages, and the registration of more than 82,150 people has been completed and the tests of 79,304 have been confirmed, said head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Medical Center Dr. Seyed Ali Marashi at the meeting.


1100 people also are being reviewed and 139 people have been referred to the medical commission, he added.


"Pilgrims' examinations have been done with the cooperation of 458 doctors across the country, and the remaining examinations of pilgrims and agents are also underway", Dr. Seyed Ali Marashi announced.


The shipment of medicines needed in Arabia has been delivered to Iran Airlines for transportation, and the meningitis vaccine injection to pilgrims will begin with the announcement of its price by the Ministry of Health, he said.
