At the meeting of police commanders of the country's airports Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab and Seyed Abbas Hosseini emphasized that during the inspection of Hajj pilgrims, they should be treated such a way as to respect and preserve the sanctity of Kaabe pilgrims.

As reported by Hajj Information Base, The meeting of the country's airports police commanders was held Tuesday (May 19) at the meeting hall of the airport police, with the presence of Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs and head of the Iranian pilgrims Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab.


After the report of Iran's airports police commander brigadier general Mohsen Aghili, Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab emphasized on preserving the sanctity and honor of the Kaabe pilgrims. He also emphasized that humiliation and insult of pilgrims during inspections should be avoided.


Regarding the inspection of upcoming Hajj pilgrims, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs offered some recommendations and added: if an individual's competence was not verified in the inspections and police suspect him or her, police actions should be done while respecting pilgrims and behave in such a way that the avoid dishonoring people.


Referring to the slogan of Hajj 1402 "Qur'anic transformation, Islamic convergence and supporting holy Quds", Hojjat al-Islam Navvab explained the Islamic convergence and stated: solidarity in the Islamic world must be strengthened more than the past, and the stronger this solidarity is, the grip on the occupying regime would be tighter.


Mentioning the cultural diversity of pilgrims, chairman of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Seyed Abbas Hosseini said at the meeting, considering that during the Hajj ceremony, people from different ethnicities and cultures are present together, these differences should be taken into account during the inspections and appropriate measures should be taken.


Appreciating the airports police in interacting pilgrims, Hosseini further said: by the proper actions of the police, in the last ten years, we have not had any arrests at the airports of the host country.


Referring the last year's survey, he also said: In previous Hajj, satisfaction with the police performance was more than 85 percent.


Regarding some dissatisfactions, head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization also said: some of these dissatisfactions was related to women pilgrims. It should be try to observe all issues in the inspections more than the past.


In the past years, some strictures caused pilgrims to abandon their needed medicines and not take them to Saudi Arabia, while pilgrims were allowed to carry medicine with a doctor's prescription, Hosseini said.


According to this report, the airports police chief pointed out at the beginning of the meeting that the Hajj mission is the best mission for this group and we will try to minimize the level of dissatisfaction.


In this context, he explained that by holding training classes especially when the pilgrims are at the airport, we intend to reduce the lingering of pilgrims to the shortest possible time.


These trainings will help Hajj pilgrims not to get into trouble in the host country, general Aghili added.


According to this report, at the beginning of his speech, head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization also presented statistics of this year's Hajj pilgrims and said: in the upcoming Hajj, more than 87 thousand pilgrims and executive officials in the form of 570 convoys from 21 airports of the country will visit the Land of Revelation.
