Differences of Arbaeen Ceremony for Each Year Need Attention
Supreme Leader's Representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs Hojjat al-Islam Abdolfattah Navvab said that in order to be able to hold the Arbaeen ceremony in a better way every year, the ceremony of each year should be analyzed and steps should be taken to improve the process.
"Due to the large number of pilgrims, we witnessed some problems that must be investigated from now on, how we faced the challenges and issues in Arbaeen 1402 and took action to solve them. In order for Arbaeen to be held every year with a higher quality than the previous year," Hojjat al-Islam Navvab pointed out that in order to achieve this objective, both good judgment (proper planning) and good planning (good execution) are needed.
In this meeting, which was held in Tehran with the presence of the officials and representatives of the 14 working groups of the cultural and educational committee of the Arbaeen headquarters, he further pointed out some problems of the pilgrims in the previous Arbaeen, including on the route from Ilam to Mehran, and said, "During 1399 and 1400, the number of pilgrims decreased due to the spread of the coronavirus, but this year, due to the large number of pilgrims, we witnessed some problems that must be investigated from now on, how to face challenges and issues in Arbaeen in 1402, and to solve them.
Hojjat al-Islam Navvab also mentioned that whenever "we are satisfied with our own performance, we will experience a decline in our work".
He further pointed to a hadith of Imam Sadeq (AS) and clarified that if someone does not examine himself and his performance, he will not notice the defects in his work and this defect will continue.
"The different departments of the Arbaeen headquarters should examine themselves and their performance and identify and fix their weaknesses and strengths."
Hojjat al-Islam Navvav emphasized that if the massive Arbaeen Hosseini Congress is properly recognized, "we will need new work and program every year".
He further pointed out the differences in various walks that are done in today's world, with the Arbaeen walk and noted that a report has been prepared about the big rallies that are held in the world. "In some of these processions, people walk a thousand kilometers to reach a church, but in the Arbaeen procession, people go to visit a perfect human being, which has no example."
In the end, he praised the activities carried out with the efforts of Hojjat al-Islam Hamid Ahmadi in the cultural and educational committee of Arbaeen, and noted: It is true that the work of this committee is related to a specific time frame, but the type and volume of work is such that the person responsible for it should always follow up on related issues and events and cultural, educational, propaganda and virtual space programs and prioritize this responsibility.
This meeting ended with the speech of the representative of the Arbaeen Headquarters and some of the heads and representatives of the fourteen working groups of the Arbaeen cultural and educational committee and the presentation of the points of view of the representatives of the organizations, bodies and institutions active in this committee.
