Head of Iran's Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Seyed Abbas Hosseini while referring to the latest details of the implementation plans for the Hajj 1402 pilgrims said that God willingly, the first caravan of Medina will arrive at the city of the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) on 3rd of Khordad.

According to Hajj Information Base, Hosseini addressing a specialized seminar of Sunni clerics  referred to the success of serving the guests of God in Hajj 1402, and said that in this year's Hajj, 87,550 pilgrims will be sent to the land of revelation in the form of 577 caravans, comprising 337 caravans arrive first in Medina and 240 caravans arrive in Medina afterwards.

Referring to the medical examinations of this year's Hajj pilgrims, he said that the medical examinations of about 97 percent of the pilgrims registered in the caravans have been completed, and other related matters will be completed in the coming days.

The head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization also elaborated on the transportation of pilgrims and the contracts concluded for quality buses, and said that regarding intra-city and inter-city transportation, the contract for 350 buses for intra-city transportation and 250 buses for inter-city transportation has been prepared. "A total of 600 buses have also been prepared for the transfer of prayers."

The head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization stated that the departure flights of pilgrims start from Khordad 3rd and continue until Tir 1st and also, the duration of outgoing flights is 30 days and return flights are 22 days.

"Hajj pilgrims will be transported to Saudi Arabia from 21 flight stations, and this year 2 Qeshm and Chabahar stations have been added to the total number of stations, and we are trying to increase the number of flight stations if the airlines help," he added.

The head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization stated that this year pilgrims sent from the Islamic Republic of Iran will be accommodated in 70 hotels in Mecca and 20 hotels in Medina.

He pointed out that one of the differences in the price of the caravans is related to the price group of the accommodation. There are 6 price groups in Medina and 6 price groups in Mecca.

"The cost of the upcoming Hajj trip for people who were not registered in 1399 is from 109 to 139 million tomans, and we also have a couple's package, the cost of which is 145 million tomans. Of course, their accommodation is only in pairs in Mecca, and in Medina, the accommodation of couples' caravans will be similar to other pilgrims.

"Regarding nutrition, we have adjusted the food program according to the taste of our dear people and tried to consider the issue of the age of pilgrims, who are much older this year than last year," he said.

He further said that in addition to this contract, more than 130 items of goods needed to provide food for the pilgrims have been made and 250 chefs and cooks have been planned to provide food for the pilgrims in 2 kitchens in Mecca and 2 kitchens in Medina.
