Hajj and Pilgrimage units ready for the upcoming Hajj
While less than 10 days left for the start of Hajj operation, chairman and also Hajj and Umrah deputy of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization emphasized on the readiness of various units of Hajj and Pilgrimage Complex for Hajj 1402 operation at the meeting of Planning and Coordination Council of Supreme Leader Delegation Office and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization .
According to the Hajj information base, the meeting of Planning and Coordination Council of Supreme Leader Delegation Office and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization was held under the chairmanship of Supreme Leader’s representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs and Head of the Iranian pilgrims; Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab.
Chairman of the Hajj and Pilgrimage organization Mr.seyed Abbas Hosseini and Hajj and Umrah deputy of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Mr. Gholamreza Rezaei emphasized at the meeting that the various units of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Complex are ready to implement the upcoming Hajj operations.
By stating the follow-ups carried out for the transfer of currency and dispatching Hajj pilgrims to Saudi Arabia, Mr. Hosseini mentioned the process of issuing visas.
Hajj and Umrah deputy of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization also reported on his recent trip to Saudi Arabia and the agreements with the Saudi authorities and the Iranian Hajj Company and said: on this trip, he also discussed with the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah officials regarding the allocation of additional quota to Iran and the host country promised that Iran would also benefit from this opportunity if the conditions were provided.
In the continuation of this meeting, chairman of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Medical Center reported on the process of Hajj pilgrims’ tests and announced that the test of 83,900 registered pilgrims have been conducted and 82,020 of them have been confirmed.
According to Dr. Seyed Ali Marashi, injecting meningitis vaccine to the pilgrims is being done and based on the follow-ups from Saudi Arabia, the license of transferring the cargo of medicine needed by the medical center in the upcoming Hajj will be issued.
Appreciating the efforts and follow-ups in different departments, Supreme Leader’s representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs called for measured planning for providing smart Hajj services.
He asked the officials and those involved in planning, information technology and security of cyber space in Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization make it possible to install and use Hajj and Pilgrimage mobile software in all types of mobile phones.
At the end of this meeting, supervisor of the Atabat-e-Aliyat deputy in Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Mr. Hamid Reza Mohammadi, presented a report on the process of sending pilgrims to Atabat, and stated that more than 340000 pilgrims visited Atabat last year in the form caravans under the supervision of this organization.
He also pointed to the provinces that have the most pilgrims in proportion to their population, and Supreme Leader’s representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs demanded for appreciation of the activists who have an important role in attracting and sending pilgrims in these provinces.
