Hojjat al-Islam Navvab: Services Provided to Iranian Pilgrims Are Growing and Constructive

Supreme Leader's Representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs has described the services provided to Iranian pilgrims as growing and constructive.

According to the Hajj Information Base, Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab, in a short conversation at the Medina airport  called the cooperation between the two countries of Iran and Saudi Arabia constructive for providing services to pilgrims and holding Hajj.

The head of Iranian pilgrims stated that "we see the services provided to Iranian pilgrims are growing, and said that in order for Iranian pilgrims to be present in this land with better health and benefits, perform their deeds and return to the country, they have demands that we conveyed to the representative of the Emir of Medina and the Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah of Saudi Arabia.

Pointing out that these requests have been discussed by the political representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran with the officials of the host country, he added that the more attention is paid to the fulfillment of these requests, the more the pilgrims will be satisfied, and the love between the people of the two countries will increase.

"When a pilgrim feels that he has entered a country where his interests are taken care of, he will return from Saudi Arabia with good memories," Hojjat al-Islam Navvab added.

The head of the Iranian pilgrims continued that both "we and the officials of the host country want the pilgrim's satisfaction and what we say is actually the pilgrim's wishes".

He said that if these demands are paid attention to and the pilgrim feels that he is going to a country where he performs his actions correctly and receives services and is respected and cared for, the number of pilgrims will certainly increase year by year and consequently there will be more pilgrims.

Stating that about one million people are still waiting for Hajj, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab said that according to the quota allocated to "our country, pilgrims will be sent, and if this quota increases, the number of dispatched pilgrims will also increase and this long queue will become shorter.

"The cooperation between the two countries in the field of providing services to pilgrims will be more successful if it leads to greater satisfaction of pilgrims," he further said.

"We are grateful for what has happened so far, and the issues that we raised with the representative of the Emir of Medina and the Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah when we arrived in Medina are the wishes of the pilgrims, and we are confident that the authorities of Saudi Arabia have the ability to fulfill them. They also want to achieve the satisfaction of the pilgrims," the Supreme Leader's representative further added.

The head of the Iranian pilgrims then left the airport for the Sukoon Hotel, where the servants of the Iranian pilgrims are stationed in the Prophet's city.
