Iranian Hajj Officials in Medina Emphasize Need to Obtain Pilgrim's Consent in Spiritual Journey of Hajj

Supreme Leader's Representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab emphasized providing better services to the pilgrims and the need to obtain the pilgrims' satisfaction.

"God willing, with the cooperation of managers, cultural servants and medical staff, we will witness a successful Hajj with spiritual purity for the pilgrims," the head of Iranian Hajj pilgrims said.


According to the Hajj Information Base, in the first meeting of the Planning and Coordination Council of the Supreme Leader's Representative Office and the Organization of Hajj and Pilgrimage, which was held Medina under the chairmanship of Hojjat al-Islam Navvab, the head of the Iranian pilgrims described the current situation the result of the efforts and activities of the servants who sincerely work and strive for the pilgrims.


He asked everyone to especially honor late Imam Khomeini after three decades that the pilgrims are in the land of revelation on the anniversary of demise of late Imam (RA) and in the middle of Khordad, as that divine man with his self-sacrifice, was the messenger of unity for the Islamic world and the revival of the Abrahamic Hajj.


Hojjat al-Islam Navvab also considered the presence of political representatives of Iran in Saudi Arabia and providing services to pilgrims as a source of encouragement for more pilgrims and expressed hope that with their efforts, the programs that were carried out before the termination of relations between the two countries will be implemented and realized.


He asked them to negotiate with the officials of the host country regarding the requests of the pilgrims, including the holding of the Komeil prayer next to the Holy Shrine of the Immaculate Imams (peace be upon them), and stated that such actions are beneficial to the relations and cooperation between the two countries.


"Carrying out some tasks can have a multi-step effect in approaching the common goals of the two countries and advance the work faster and increase the cooperation between them," Hojjat al-Islam Navvab added.


The Supreme Leader's representative pointed out that hotel rentals in Mecca and Medina have been prepared with the efforts of members of the accommodation committee who have many years of experience, and advised the caravan managers to speak honestly with the pilgrims and solve the issues for them with Explain in a calm tone.


In the continuation of this meeting, Head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Seyed Abbas Hosseini asked the officials of the relevant units to identify the managers who work purely for the sake of Allah for the pilgrims so that they can be encouraged at the end of the Hajj operation.


The meeting continued with the presentation of the report by Javad Daneshyar, the head of Medina's headquarters, about the situation of accommodation, feeding and supplies for Iranian pilgrims in the city of the Prophet and how the caravans embarked on Hajj and Head of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization's Medical Center Dr. Seyed Ali Mara'ashi reported on physicians' activities during the Hajj season.


Daneshyar and Mara'ashi stressed that all the staff of the Medina headquarters and the medical field are trying to make things go in the best way and provide the best services to the pilgrims.


A report was read by the deputy head of the Supreme Leader's representative office for cultural affairs, Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Hosseinn Rokn al-Dini about the programs and cultural activities, including the holding human and knowledge circles. Familiarization with the Qur'an and Medina studies, was another part of this meeting.


"Medinaology program has been very well received, so that it was far from the expectations of those involved," he added.


Head of Iranian pilgrims, meantime, said that in order for the cultural planning to be implemented well, the managers of the complexes as cultural officials should be fully justified and in order to realize this, in addition to providing information, appropriate solutions should be provided according to the condition of the hotels. 


Hojjat al-Islam Navvab reminded the importance of accompanying the pilgrims and obtaining their satisfaction in this spiritual journey, and clarified that the sanctity of God's pilgrimage should be preserved and he/she should feel that it is his/her spiritual pilgrimage and the facts are expressed honestly.


In this meeting, Hassan Zarangar, Chargé d'Affaires of the Iranian Embassy in Saudi Arabia, reported on the growing trend of relations between the two countries and pointed out that the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Riyadh, the Iranian in Jeddah, and the Representative Office of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Organization of the Islamic Coooperation in the near future will be reopened and the relations between the two countries are developing rapidly.


"We are ready to provide services that are needed by pilgrims and require official follow-up, and we will try to solve them quickly if a problem arises," he added.


While appreciating the activities carried out, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab said that "we hope that this year's Hajj will be held peacefully and fruitfully, and that the pilgrims will return to the country with satisfaction".
