"Imam Khomeini and Prayer" Conference
On the anniversary of Imam of Ummah demise, the conference of "Imam Khomeini and Prayer" was held in Medina with enthusiastic attendance of Iranian pilgrims.
According to the Hajj information base, in commemoration of 34th anniversary of the death of the Imam of the Ummah, the conference of "Imam Khomeini and Prayers" was held in the Prophet's city with the enthusiastic presence of Iranian pilgrims and the officials of Hajj and Pilgrimage organization. The conference was held by the Supreme Leader Delegation Office in Medina.
Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs and head of the Iranian pilgrims Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab was the special speaker of this conference, who spoke about the personality dimensions and the effects of Imam's comprehensive view and also mentioned Imam as an ethical teacher in Islamic society.
He mentioned the Imam of the Ummah as an outstanding jurist, professor of principles, jurisprudence, philosophy, mysticism and interpretation and clarified: the words of that wise scholar about ethics had a tremendous impact on people.
Stating that the testament of Imam and the Diwan of poems of that linguistic scholar indicate his extraordinary mastery in art and writing, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs said: Imam was unique in the field of politics as well, and managed the Islamic movement and led the people to victory with care.
Mentioning the strategy of the Imam of Ummah in defending the country and the failure of enemy he continued: Imam Khomeini taught us to move forward with revolutionary perseverance and the progresses of regime is the result of that man of God lofty thoughts and also supreme leader.
Pointing out the role of prayer in building the spiritual personality of people, the leader of Iranian pilgrims also said: It is mentioned in the testament of Imam that we are proud the life-giving prayer, which is called the "Ascending Qur'an", is belong to the one of our infallible imams.
Considering Sahifa Sajjadiyyeh as a memento of Imam Sajjad (a.s.) and a life lesson, he added: Imam, who speaks decisively against America and enemy, had been taken energy and inspiration from the prayers of Sahifa Sajjadiyyeh.
Based on this report, Hojjat al-Islam Seyyed Mohammad Taqi Hosseinzadeh spoke at this conference on the subject of world unity and modern world, Dr. Mehdi Rouhaninejad, a professor at Imam Khomeini University, spoke about development and technological sciences, and Dr. Zahra Tabakhinejad on sense of belonging, hope for the future and self-confidence. They also called the anniversary of the death of Imam as a day of renewing allegiance to the wise scholar.
