Planning to transfer 20,000 pilgrims of second Medina by train to the Prophet's city

In order to facilitate Iranian pilgrims’ trip, 20,000 pilgrims of second Medina will be transferred from Mecca to Medina by high-speed train, it was announced at the meeting of Planning and Coordination Council of Supreme Leader Delegation Office and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization

According to the Hajj information base, the meeting of Planning and Coordination Council of Supreme Leader Delegation Office and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization held by the chairmanship of Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs and head of the Iranian pilgrims Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab. Chief of the Medina Staff said at the meeting that the chief of Mecca Operation staff and the Director of representative office of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization in Saudi Arabia are trying to implement this measure for the first time while coordinating with the relevant parties in the host country.


33 transit flights are planned through Medina airport for the return of pilgrims from Mazandaran and Yazd provinces to our country in the first days of the pilgrims' departure from Saudi Arabia, Javad Daneshyar added.


Chairman of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization in a report announced at the meeting the number of Iranian pilgrims in the Land of Revelation as 59,351 and said: so far, about 67% of Hajj 1402 pilgrims have been transferred to the Land of Revelation through Jeddah and Medina airports.


Referring to the reduction of Hajj flight delays, Seyyed Abbas Hosseini said: full capacity of accommodation in Mecca has been provided and the hotels are ready to welcome the rest of the Iranian pilgrims.


The report of cultural deputy of Supreme Leader Delegation Office Hojjat al-Islam Seyyed Hossein Rokn al-Dini about holding fondness circles and fondness with Qur'an, cognition of Medina and Mecca and Kumil  Nudba prayer ceremonies in Medina and Mecca and other cultural, religious and special programs were the focus of the meeting. He also emphasized that these meetings will continue with the presence of pilgrims even after the days of Tashriq.


Head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Medical Center in Medina Ayad Bahadri, in his report compared the most common diseases among Iranian pilgrims in Medina and Mecca, and advised managers and clerics of the caravans to avoid performing Umrah for pilgrims during the hot hours of the day. He also emphasized elderly pilgrims should be careful when using escalators and other similar devices.


In this meeting, head of the secretariat of the Hajj Crisis Committee Mr. Davood Bagheri also reported on the investigations and surveys by this headquarters and pointed out some of the pilgrims' dissatisfactions by presenting statistics.


At the same time, he emphasized that the overall Hajj operation was good compared to last year and we are witnessing the relative satisfaction of the pilgrims.


Calling for determining the axes of satisfaction and dissatisfaction of pilgrims, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs said: these feedbacks can be used in future planning.


Emphasizing on following up the demands of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization from the Saudi contracting companies in the past Hajj due to the failure in order to provide part of the service or its incomplete provision, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs called hajj officials to follow up and finalize these cases and defend the right of pilgrim.


Hojjat al-Islam Navvab emphasized that the operation in first Medina is coming to the end slowly and the remaining works should be followed seriously.


He also appreciated the efforts of media to reflect the news and events of Hajj in the form of news reports, production and reflection in the virtual space.
