Sri Lanka Asked for Sharing Iran's Experiences of Hajj

Head of Sri Lanka's Hajj mission, heading a delegation, met with the head of Iranian pilgrims at the Islamic Republic of Iran's Hajj mission in Mecca and exchanged views.

According to the Hajj Information Base, Mr. Ibrahim Sahib Ansar, the head of the Hajj delegation of Sri Lanka, met with Hojjat al-Islam Syed Abdolfattah Navvab, the Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage, and both sides discussed ways to develop relations between the two countries in the areas of Hajj, cultural and religious dialogue.


During the meeting, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab described the Islamic Republic of Iran's attitude towards Islamic countries and countries where a part of their population is Muslim in a benevolent manner, and stressed that cooperation between the two countries requires that scientific, cultural, religious activities and political cooperation between the two sides is more than in the past.


While referring to the diverse capacities of Iran and Sri Lanka in various fields, he added that mutual trips can lead to the recognition of the capacities of the two countries and clarify the solutions for optimal use of these capacities.


The head of the Iranian pilgrims also considered Hajj as an opportunity to create greater cohesion and consolidate unity among Muslims and to react to the normalization of relations with the Zionist child-killing regime and abhor the destruction of Al-Aqsa Mosque.


Referring to the activities of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Research Institute and the compiling more than 1,500 books in the field of Hajj and Pilgrimage, and the presence of Iran's distinguished international reciters in Mecca, Navvab said that Sri Lanka can use these capacities.


In this meeting, the head of Sri Lanka's Hajj delegation requested to share experiences of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the field of Hajj, and Hojjat al-Islam Navvab said that Iran is ready to provide its experiences to Sri Lanka's Hajj delegation.


Pointing to the situation of Muslims in Sri Lanka, Mr. Ibrahim Sahib Ansar said, "This year we have 3,500 pilgrims and we hope that there will be an opportunity to transfer experiences and learn from Iranians.


In this meeting, which was attended by the Secretary General of the Association of Islamic Religions and some of the deputies and managers of the leader's representative office, Hojjat al-Islam Hamid Shahriari considered Islamophobia and Iranophobia to be the ways of the enemies of Muslims.


Referring to the peaceful life of Shiites and Sunnis in Iran, he said, "The strategy of the Islamic Republic of Iran is that we can live together in peace."


The secretary general of the Association of Islamic Religions Association also invited the head of the Hajj delegation of Sri Lanka to participate in the international conference of Islamic unity, which is scheduled to be held in Mehr in Iran with the aim of Islamic unity, unity and solidarity among Muslims and the intellectuals of scholars and scientists for the purpose of approximation which was welcomed by other party.
