First Meeting of Hajj Officials in Mecca; Hajj Operations Gone Well So Far

In a meeting of the Planning and Coordination Council of the Supreme Leader's Representative Office and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, Head of the Iranian Pilgrims Hojjat al-Islam Navvab said that the Hajj operation has progressed well up to this stage with the efforts and activities of the servants of Hajj has been satisfactory.

According to Hajj Information Base, in the first meeting of the officials of the Hajj and Pilgrimage during Hajj 1402 in Mecca, Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab while referring to the comments of a number of pilgrims when visiting hotels, said, "Pilgrims who express satisfaction or complain they have the right on us. We must do our duty and seek God's pleasure. In this case, God's servants will also be satisfied."


The head of Iranian pilgrims listed some of the complaints raised by the pilgrims and asked the officials of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization to take immediate action and reduce the cost of the hotel rents and these problems should be resolved by the hotel owner within 48 hours.


"The shortcomings should be resolved quickly and the pilgrims should know that their rights will be pursued," he added.


The head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, meantime, emphasized that through field investigation and the managers of the complex, the deficiencies should be investigated and conveyed, and wherever we feel that services are needed, they should be immediately provided by the hotel owner or the Hajj organization itself.


In the continuation of this meeting, Mr. Gholamreza Rezaei, head of Mecca headquarters, presented a detailed report on the process of Hajj 1402 operations.


The deputy head of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization for Hajj and Umrah Affairs pointed to the receipt of 87,538 numbers of requests for the issuance of visas for pilgrims and agents so far and 338 flights to Medina and Jeddah airports, and said, "The number of pilgrims up to this morning is more than 67,000 people in Mecca and 8,852 people in Madena. Nearly 87% of our country's quota is in Hajj this year."


He pointed out the situation of pilgrims traveling from the hotels where they are staying to Masjid al-Haram and vice versa, and by stating the points raised in the meetings with the Saudi parties, in order to provide the best conditions for the celebration of Tashriq days, it is necessary to explain and inform the pilgrims by the managers and clerics of the caravans. He stressed the available space for each pilgrim in Arafat and Mena tents.


In the continuation of this meeting, the head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Medical Center pointed out that 13 patients were hospitalized in Saudi hospitals and 45 patients in the center's hospital in Mecca and considered their condition favorable.


Referring to the provision of more than 113,000 services to Iranian pilgrims from the Hajj operation, Dr. Ali Marashi added that two female patients should have been returned to Iran due to their physical conditions after the approval of the medical center and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization. The work was done via return flights to Medina.


In the end, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab asked the Medical Center and the Organization of Hajj and Pilgrimage, considering the presence of elderly pilgrims and the intensity of heat in this year's Hajj, to consider the necessary measures to preserve the health of the pilgrims during the days of Tashriq and ask the young pilgrims to Help their fellow pilgrims who are older to do the work.
