On Eve of Tashriq Days; Latest Status of Hajj Operations and Iranian Pilgrims' Caravans

Meeting of the Planning and Coordination Council of Supreme Leader's Representative and Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization was held on the threshold of Tashriq days where the latest status of Hajj operations and Iranian pilgrims' caravans were examined.

According to the Hajj Information Base, the meeting of the planning and coordination council of the Supreme Leader's Office and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization was presided Head of Iranian Pilgrims Hojjat al-Islam Abdolfattah Navvab in Mecca.


During the meeting, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab asked the managers and officials of different departments to review their plans for these days so that there is no interruption in serving the pilgrims.


Also during the meeting, the head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Mr. Seyed Abbas Hosseini announced the arrival of nearly 82,000 Iranian pilgrims to the Land of Revelation, and said that 73,000 of them have settled in Mecca.


Pilgrims who are present in Medina will gradually become Mohrem in Shajara Mosque before coming to Mecca, and about 3,400 other pilgrims who will enter Saudi Arabia through Jeddah Airport until July 1st will go to Mecca to perform Umrah.


Hosseini also mentioned the preparation of the central kitchens of Makkah for the days of Tashriq and the distribution of tents among the managers of the collections and caravans to check its facilities.


In the continuation of this meeting, Gholamreza Rezaei, the head of Mecca operation headquarters, pointed out the predictions made to facilitate the actions of pilgrims who will enter Mecca through Madinah and Jeddah in the coming days, and said, "Field visits to the Mashaer are underway and preparations are in progress. Various departments are being finalized to provide proper services to pilgrims."


In the meeting, several deputies and managers of the Supreme Leader's representative office and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization in the areas of accommodation, nutrition, urban transportation, inspection and protection reported on the activities, planning and coordination carried out in their area of responsibilities.


Mohammad Masoumi, the representative of Iran Air, also said that 224 flights to Medina Airport and 136 flights to Jeddah Airport have been made by noon today, and the remaining 16 flights will be made by Thursday.


Syed Ali Marashi, the head of the medical center, said that currently 24 patients are hospitalized in Saudi hospitals and another 40 patients are hospitalized in Mecca Hospital, and pointed out that 5,500 specialized visits, 70,400 visits in clinics and 34,500 patient visits in clinics have been performed.


According to the reports submitted by the patients admitted to the hospitals, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab emphasized the necessity of informing and justifying the pilgrims regarding the conditions ahead and taking care of their health.
