In Meeting With Sunni Caravan Pilgrims, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab: Satan Lurking to Deceive Pilgrims

Emphasizing that the pilgrims should perform their Hajj with sincerity, the Supreme Leader's Representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs named "Satan" and material world as thieves who are lurking to destroy the existential effects of the Hajj pilgrims.

According to Hajj Information Base, Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab, at the meeting of pilgrims of Sunni caravans that was held on Saturday (Tir 3) at Alian Almasi Hotel in Mecca, said that you should be thankful to God for giving you the precious gem of Hajj.

"Hajj is one of the precious gifts that God gives to His servants and it should be taken care of with righteous deeds," he added.

By stating that there are valuable and precious items such as gold and jewels, thieves are constantly thinking of stealing them from their owners, and he pointed out that Hajj thieves are "devils" and "evil spirits" who want to destroy the rewards of pilgrims and to take them. "Therefore, you should be careful to keep the effects of Hajj in your body and do not give in to these two."

The Supreme Leader's representative continued that the existential effects of Hajj is that when you return to Iran, you become a different person. "Those who return from Hajj and are the same as before and have not undergone any transformation have suffered a heavy and irreparable loss."

Hojjat al-Islam Navvab raised the question of what "we should do so that the effects of Hajj are not lost and we are not captured by Satan, and said, "The only thing that can preserve the effects of Hajj is sincerity." "To achieve sincerity, we must make a covenant with God that all work is for His pleasure and we do not seek other worldly issues."

The head of Iranian pilgrims advised the pilgrims to prioritize sincerity and humbleness as the two characteristics of a true pilgrim, and said, "If you want the essence of this trip to be transferred in your life, when you return to the country, be more humble than before. Be and pay more attention to worship, secrets, and needs than before, and put rebelliousness, visiting relatives and acquaintances and serving them on the agenda."

"He who purifies his intention and all his actions are for the pleasure of God will have a better worldly life, and if he has true sincerity, he will definitely cross the bridge of Sarat," he further said.

According to the correspondent of the Hajj Information Base, at the beginning of this conference, Hadi Akbari, the director of Ahl al-Sunni Office the Supreme Leader's mission mentioned Hajj as an exceptional worship and stressed that no worship has the same rewards and benefits as Hajj.

He advised the pilgrims to know the value of this journey and to try to have a good Hajj by performing the acts of Hajj correctly and fully and to protect it so that a big change can be made in their lives.
