Last meeting of Hajj Officials in Mecca Before Tashriq Days; Highest Level of Preparedness for Sending Pilgrims to Holy Places

The last meeting of the Planning and Coordination Council of Supreme Leader's Representative Office and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization was held in Mecca before the days of Tashriq, and it was announced that all the executive and cultural departments are at the highest level of preparedness for the presence of pilgrims in the sacred ceremonies.

According to the Hajj Information Base, in this meeting that was held this Sunday evening (Tir 4) under the chairmanship of Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab in Mecca, the head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization added that the process of Hajj operations is going through normal and favorable conditions and the necessary recommendations have been made in all executive and medical departments.


Seyed Abbas Hosseini pointed out that the transfer of the caravans' facilities to the Holy Shrines is in progress and said that with the presence of the head of the Arafat Operation Headquarters and the managers of the organization, the existing shortcomings have been transferred to the Iranian Hajjaj Institute in order to fix them as soon as possible and take action before the arrival of pilgrims.


"The shortcomings and problems that exist will be followed up with more sensitivity and accuracy so that no problem is noticed by the pilgrims," he added.


The head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization continued that buses will be handed over for the operation of transferring pilgrims to the Arafat desert according to the schedule and agreements made with Iran's Hajj Pilgrims Institute.


The representative Supreme Leader, meantime, pointed out that vigilance and accuracy are necessary in this part of the operation which is considered the focal point of the Hajj ceremony, and expressed hope that the continuation of the Hajj operation will be done well and will end successfully. 


"It should be emphasized to the officials of the host company, that by fulfilling their duties, the sweetness of Hajj will last in the pilgrim's minds," Hojjat al-Islam Navvab said.


The meeting continued with a report by Seyed Ali Marashi, head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Medical Center, about the preparations in the Holy Mosques to provide services to pilgrims and the measures taken to transport disabled pilgrims.


Pointing out that the number of hospitalized people in Saudi hospitals and Mecca Hospital is currently 33 and 20, respectively, he added that since the beginning of the Hajj operation, 256,000 cases of medical and medical services have been provided to the pilgrims.


In the continuation of this meeting, Mr. Mohsen Razaghi, the representative of Iran Air, reported on the transfer operations and planning for the return of pilgrims to the country and said: The return operation of the pilgrims will begin on Tir 12 through Medina Airport, and it is planned that 374 flights of this operation will go through two Madina Airports.


The representative of the Supreme Leader in Hajj and Pilgrimage also appreciated the efforts of those involved in the Hajj operations in the Civil Aviation and the Islamic Republic of Iran Airlines and said, "Iran Air shone brightly in the operation of transporting pilgrims to the Land of Revelation and did well in the responsibility it assumed.


At the end of this meeting, Hasan Zarnegar, head of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Riyadh, reported on the follow-ups and correspondence with the host country to facilitate the pilgrims' affairs and to follow up on the demands of the officials of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, and the Supreme Leader's representative emphasized the holding of prayers Kumail, as in the past, and the use of Taef airport to further facilitate the transfer and return of pilgrims is one of the things that the host country will seek to satisfy the pilgrims, and considering the opening that has been created in the relations between the two countries, it is expected that in the negotiations with the authorities of the host country must be agreed.
