Hajj leaders of Iran and Bosnia and Herzegovina meets in Mecca
Hajj leader of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina met and discussed with the leader of Iranian pilgrims in Mecca.
According to the Hajj information base, the meeting was held with the presence of the chairman of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, the Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought and also International Deputy of the Supreme Leader's Delegation Office at the location of the Delegation in Mecca.
Pointing out that the country of Bosnia has been respected by the Iranian people since the past, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab stated: Bosnia was able to maintain religious programs and activities during the former Yugoslavia and communists and genocide and ethnic cleansing in this land and the spiritual connection in this country is well known.
He mentioned the interest of Bosnian people to Ahl al-Bayt and considered the friendship association between Iran and Bosnia as one of the strong associations between Islamic countries.
Welcoming the transfer of experiences between two sides, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs added: we are ready to share our experiences in scientific, research, educational topics and also actions in Hajj areas to the Bosnian brothers.
Chairman of Iranian Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization also pointed out at this meeting that the pilgrimage of Iranians today is a model for Muslim countries and stated: We are ready to follow up and carry out some contracts required by the Bosnian Hajj Organization in the field of Hajj.
Secretary General of The World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought Hojjat al-Islam Shahriari emphasized on the need for Islamic countries to support Bosnia.
The meeting continued with the report of Bosnian Hajj chairman on the status of the Bosnian Muslim pilgrimage and how 2,200 pilgrims of this country participated in this year's Hajj.
Appreciating the Iranian people's support to the Bosnian people during the war, Mr. Anis Afandi pointed out and emphasized his trip to Iran and his negotiations and said: The Islamic Republic of Iran has grown to such an extent that it does not need outside and the presence of a powerful country in this region will benefit Muslims.
In the continuation of this meeting, international deputy of Supreme Leader Delegation Office Hojjat al-Islam Mansour Mir Ahmadi also said this group is ready to cooperate with Bosnian Hajj organization in the field of international communication.
Hojjat al-Islam Hamid Ahmadi also referred to holding the huge Arbaeen Congress with the support and presence of people.
Head of the cultural and educational committee of Arbaeen said: 20 million religious followers from different countries, including about 4 million Iranian pilgrims, participated in this ceremony during the last year's Arbaeen, and all the services provided to pilgrims and their hospitality were voluntary and benevolent.
