Hajj Medical Center Officials Meet With Head of Iranian Pilgrims

Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage during the meeting with head and a number of officials of the Medical Center of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Mecca termed the activities of this year's Hajj better and more promising than last year's Hajj.

According to the Hajj Information Base, Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab during the meeting said that it is a matter of happiness to carry out seven new operations in the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization during Hajj 1402 operation.


Head of the Iranian pilgrims also gave recommendations on how to select and organize the forces, including in the health department, and the plan to use the cooperation of the medical staff who visited the land of revelation as pilgrims and volunteered to cooperate with the Hajj and Pilgrimage Medical Center was a good and successful experience.


He asked the head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Medical Center to properly appreciate these pilgrims and provide the basis for the growth of this plan in the coming year.


The Head of Iranian Pilgrims continued to address the head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Medical Center, and said that plan for the future Hajj in a way so that people who lack physical and mental strength do not end up in the cycle of being sent to the Land of Revelation.


This year, despite the examinations, some of these people have been sent to Saudi Arabia, and because of their homesickness, they created many problems for themselves, the caravan, the medical center, and the people involved in the Hajj and Pilgrimage organization, and they did not notice the journey and its supplies.


Hojjat al-Islam Navvab emphasized the need for careful screening by doctors examining pilgrims, and added that such people are not only not considered to be eligible, but they also do not benefit from this journey and are far from the purpose of Hajj, which is to strengthen people's religion. It is better for these people to attend the single Umrah table with a companion.


This report indicates that before the speech of the head of Iranian pilgrims, the head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Medical Center presented a detailed report on the activities of this center since the beginning of the Hajj operations in the two cities of Mecca and Medina, especially during the days of Tashriq.


Dr. Seyed Ali Marashi said that necessary measures have been taken for the early transfer of 55 sick people and their companions to the country by Thursday (Tir 15) through return flights of pilgrims.


"So far, 363,000 visits have been made in Mecca clinics and hospitals, and the total number of services provided has been 485,650.


Dr. Marashi described the visits to the medical centers as smooth and said that the intensity of the visits, which increased after the days of Tashriq, is returning to its normal trend.


According to this report, at the end of this meeting, Dr. Taher Daroudi, Deputy of Hajj and Umrah Medical Center of Red Crescent Society and several officials of different units of this center also reported on their field of activity and stated that this year, at the beginning of the Hajj days, more pilgrims get sick. They were infected with viral and infectious diseases, which became less severe with the passage of time.


In these reports, it was also stated that with the interaction with Saudi hospitals, 52 surgeries have been performed for Iranian pilgrims and now 23 patients are being treated in the hospitals of the host country, who will gradually be discharged and return to the country.
