Hojjat al-Islam Navvab: Suitable for Hajj High Council to Convene Sooner to Decide on Umrah Issues

According to the Hajj Information Base, in the meeting held on Monday and presided by Hojjat al-Islam Navvab, Head of Iranian Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Seyed Abbas Hosseini and Deputy Head of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Gholamreza Rezaei and Nasrallah Farahmand, CEO of Umrah Sa'at Company reported on the follow-ups done by the Central Bank and the officials of the host country to resume Umrah trips.

The head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization pointed out that the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance also wants to hold a meeting of the Supreme Council of Hajj, and added that as per positive view of the Governor of the Central Bank of Iran regarding the provision of foreign currency for Umrah trips, expert issues have been examined in different units.

The deputy head of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization for Hajj and Umrah also pointed to the coordination and interaction of the host country for the launch of Umrah trips and planning in this regard, and said that according to the timetable provided by Saudi Arabia, the timetable of activities and measures for Hajj The future and Umrah journeys are also being compiled insidethe country.

According to this report, in the continuation of this meeting, the head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization pointed out the disruption in the Sama system and the measures taken to fix the technical problems and continue the registration of Arbaeen pilgrims and emphasized that with the help of the technical forces of the Hajj Organization and the support of the system "we are going to fix the problems quickly and soon".

The Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj affairs of the Ministry also emphasized on finding suitable solutions based on internal knowledge to eliminate the disruption in the Sama system and end the worries of pilgrims, and once again stressed the need to inform about the services that the Hajj and Pilgrimage organization provides in Arbaeen area inside Iran and Pilgrimage cities in Iraq, he reminded.

The meeting continued with the report of Mohammad Hossein Khoshnevis, Vice President of Management and Resources Development and Majid Marzani, Director of Program, Budget and Organizational Development of the Supreme Leader's Representative Office on the points that are necessary in connection with the category of pilgrimage and the duties and responsibilities related to the field of Hajj and Pilgrimage in the program bill of the Seventh Development Plan should be considered.

In the report while referring to the omission of the cultural programs of Hajj and Pilgrimage in the bill of the Seventh Development Plan, a proposal to present a quarterly program under the title of cultural and social development of this area was brought to the Islamic Council and it was decided that this issue should be centered on the mission of the Supreme Leader's Representative Office and Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization which should be followed seriously and the necessary coordination and interaction with the integration commission should also take place.

In the continuation of the meeting, Director of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization's Representative Office Nasser Hawizawi who has recently returned from Arabia discussed the measures taken regarding the resumption of Umrah trips and the possibility of starting a land trip, returning the debts of the Hajj 1401 and Hajj 1402 by Iran's  Hajj Company, transferring currency to the Al-Ahli Bank of Saudi Arabia to pay the travel expenses of Iranian pilgrims to this country and the proposals of Saudi companies to provide better services in Arafat and Mina.

At the end of this meeting, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab pointed to the holding of specialized meetings with the representatives of the sources of immitation  in Qom to examine the issue of verifying the physical ability of pilgrims in the Hajj Tamattu and clarified that for better coordination and unity of opinion of doctors in diagnosing physical ability of Pilgrims will be defined in a new format so that the conditions of the pilgrims who will visit the land of revelation next year will be better and the problems of the medical board and the Hajj and pilgrimage organization will be reduced.
