Hojjat al-Islam Navvab Stresses Expert Review of Resuming Umrah Pilgrimage

The head of Iranian Hajj pilgrims emphasized the need for the expert review of various aspects of resuming the Umrah pilgrimage.

"All capacities should be used to provide the best conditions for the sending of pilgrims," Hojjat al-Islam Abdolfattah Navvab said.


According to the Hajj Information Base, the meeting of the Planning Council of the Supreme Leader's Representative Office and Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization was held today under the chairmanship of Hojjat al-Islam Navvab, and the latest measures taken to resume Umrah trips were reviewed.


At the beginning of this meeting, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab while honoring the holy defense week pointed to the message of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution on the occasion of the beginning of this week, and said that the holy defense had many positive features for the country according to late Imam Khomeini and said that today, "we have been blessed in war, which we have benefited from in all scenes."


"We have exported our revolution to the world in the war, we have proved our oppression in the war, we have removed the veil from the deceitful face of the world-eaters in the war, we have known our friends and enemies in the war, we have come to this result in the war We have reached the point where we have to stand on our own feet, we broke the two superpowers of East and West in the great war," he added.


Hojjat al-Islam Navvab commended the Iranian nation in a meaningful way to the calls of the enemy, and said, "We should also appreciate the discerning people of Iran, who, by recognizing the enemy and not accompanying them, on national consolidation and cohesion with the statesmen in They approved the maintenance of peace in the country."


Emphasizing that the best conditions should be provided for sending Iranian pilgrims to Umrah, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab asked his deputies and the officials of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization to carry out expert and detailed investigations in various areas in order to make the most logical decision for To resume Umrah trips.


Head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Mr. Seyed Abbas Hosseini also presented a report on the measures taken to resume Umrah trips, and said: "To finalize this decision, we are consulting and conducting negotiations with various departments so that we can find the best conditions for sending pilgrims."


He considered holding a meeting with the Central Bank to determine the currency status as one of the most important and influential matters in this regard, and said, "Soon we will have a meeting with the Central Bank to understand and finalize the exchange rate for Umrah travel."


Deputy Director of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Mr. Gholamreza Rezaei also said in his report on the latest status of follow-up on matters related to the Umrah pilgrimage that determining the exchange rate and determining how to provide flight services and its balanced price is one of the most important influential parts for making a decision on this matter. We are currently consulting to finalize them.


Stating that it is normal that some rates have changed compared to the last Umrah in 1394, he said: "We are investigating so that we can make the conditions to finalize this decision."


In this meeting, Hojjat al-Islam Mansour Mirahmadi, Deputy of International Affairs of the Supreme Leader's Representative Office, Dr. Seyed Ali Marashi, Head of the Medical Center of the Red Crescent Society, and other departments presented a report on the actions taken.
