Name of North Roudaki Street Changed to Mena Martyrs Concurrent With Anniversary of Martyrs of Mena and Holy Defense Week
Concurrent with the anniversary of the Martyrs of Mena and the fourth day of the holy defense week with the title "Martyrs, veterans, freedmen, strength and pride" the name of North Roudaki Street was changed to Martyrs of Mena in the presence of a group of officials from Hajj and Pilgrimage and the municipality.
According to Hajj Information Base; coinciding with the anniversary of the Martyrs of Mena and the fourth day of the Holy Defense Week with the title of "Martyrs, Veterans, Freedmen, Strength and Pride" on Monday evening during a ceremony attended by the deputies of the Supreme Leader's representative office, the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, the mayor and the deputies of District 2 of Tehran and one of the families of martyrs in the district, the name of North Roudaki street was changed to Mena martyrs.
At the beginning of this ceremony, Mehdi Salehi, the mayor of District 2, pointed out the process of changing the name of North Roudaki Street to Mena Martyrs in the Tehran City Council, and said that currently, the city council and the municipal body are trying to make appropriate names, and today also the street adjacent to Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization was named after Mena's martyrs, and "we hope that this will be a source of good and blessing for the neighborhood and the city".
Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Hossein Rokn al-Dini, Cultural Vice President of the Supreme Leader's Mission, also said at the naming ceremony of Mena Martyrs Street that "we hope that this beautiful move is the beginning of reviving and keeping alive the memory and name of these dear martyrs".
He stated that the status of the honorable Martyrs of Mena is great and "we are missing them".
"We honor the memory of the Martyrs of Mena, women and men who attained the grace of martyrdom in Ihram clothes, and God willing, we will see other beautiful movements in the municipality and council. Let the city be a witness in this connection," he added
He clarified that "we are all grateful for the blessing of the martyrs and the blood of the martyrs and we consider this naming as blessed".
At the end of this ceremony, in the presence of workers martyrs' sister (sister of 4 martyrs), the emblem of Mena Martyrs Street was unveiled.
