Capacity building to send 47,000 pilgrims to Atabat in Mehr

Hajj and Pilgrimage organization deputy in Atabat affairs announced at the meeting of Planning and Coordination Council of Supreme Leader Delegation Office and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization the capacity building to send 47,000 pilgrims in the form of pilgrimage caravans under the supervision of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization on land and air trips to Atabat-e-Aliyat in Mehr.

According to the Hajj information base, Mr. Hamid Reza Mohammadi said at the meeting that 27 thousand people have registered and deposited money so far. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab.


Stating that currently 33 companies are active in sending pilgrims to Atabat and 8 companies were eliminated due to the lack of comparative conditions, he said: currently, traveling to Atabat, based on 6 nights and 7 nights by land from Tehran, costs from 5.7 to 8.2 million tomans.


The cost of air travel from Tehran to Atabat-e- Aliyat also varies from 13 to 15.1 million tomans depending on the hotel and also two-night and three-night packages have been defined for the border provinces, he continued.


Hajj and Pilgrimage organization deputy in Atabat affairs also reported on the latest measures to increase the number of dispatching to Syria and said: currently, one flight to Damascus is done per week in the form of pilgrimage caravans costing 13.57 million tomans, and we are trying to increase the flights.


Emphasizing on Civil Aviation Organization cooperation to increase the flights to Syria through airlines, chairman of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization said: Hajj Organization is ready to increase dispatching pilgrims.


Referring to follow-ups in the fields of foreign exchange and flights for the resumption of Umrah trips, Mr. Seyyed Abbas Hosseini, also said: according to the needs of community and pilgrims, various packages are being defined for these trips.


Set of executive and cultural activities in the Hajj and Pilgrimage organization and Supreme Leader Delegation Office should be finalized in order to resume Umrah trips so that the caravan formation and pilgrims deployment will not be delayed when the status of currency and aviation is determined, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs said.


Hojjat al-Islam Navvab once again emphasized on following up the demands related to Hajj 1401 and 1402 from the Saudi sides and called Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization to form a working group in this regard and also necessity follow-ups done through the Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah.


This is the pilgrim's right, and we, as defenders of pilgrim's rights, expect the host country, which presents itself as the servant of pilgrims, to help in fulfilling the pilgrim's rights, he emphasized.


Congratulating the birth of Holy Prophet (PBUH), Imam Jafar Sadiq (PBUH) and the Week of Unity, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs mentioned the Prophet as a a model and called all his actions influential and inspiring for people.
