Umrah and Major Hajj Pilgrims Should Prepare for Pre-registration

In the Planning Council meeting of the Supreme Leader's representative office  and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, it was announced that according to the provision of the basic preparations for Umrah and Hajj trips, pilgrims who have a priority documents should prepare for pre-registration.

According to Hajj Information Base, in this meeting that was held today under the chairmanship of Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab, the Supreme Leader's representative for Hajj and pilgrimage, Mr. Gholamreza Rezaei, the deputy of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization for Hajj and Umrah, said that visas have been issued for the representatives of the Hajj and pilgrimage Organization committees for Trip to Saudi Arabia and conclusion of contracts in different areas for Umrah trips.


He said that the first group has been sent to the host country, and the travel of experts from the housing, nutrition and logistics committees, transportation, etc. is also planned.


According to Mr. Rezaei, as per the initial planning, more than a thousand people are expected to be sent for Umrah every day, and this process may increase over time.


The Hajj and Umrah deputy also reported on the expertise carried out regarding obtaining the amount on account for the pre-registration of the upcoming Hajj.


To protect the rights of the pilgrims, the currency needed for the Hajj operation must be purchased from the Central Bank, and in the next stages of the registration, the remaining price will be increased, he added.


He also pointed out that the basis of the chosen group of pilgrims will be received.


In the continuation of this meeting, the Hajj and Pilgrimage officials reported on the readiness of agents, managers and executive agents to send them on a trip and announced that the software required for the registration of Umrah pilgrims has been prepared and the process of obtaining visas such as Hajj is done electronically and in the shortest time will be done.


Mr. Seyed Abbas Hosseini, the head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, referring to the follow-ups carried out to provide part of the currency required for Umrah trips from the Central Bank, stated that once the price of the currency is determined, the cost of the Umrah trip will be finalized and announced, and the pilgrims will be paid according to the priority of documents that have available and they can refer to the system and register.


Based on this report, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab also gave recommendations regarding the registration of Hajj and Umrah pilgrims and asked the technical officials of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization to test various matters regarding registration in advance so that the process is not disturbed during the operation.


In the continuation of this meeting, Mr. Dr. Behrouz Minaei Bidgoli, one of the expert experts in the field of artificial intelligence (or the head of the computer engineering faculty of the University of Science and Technology), made a report about the capabilities of artificial intelligence in Hajj and made suggestions about the benefits presented it in this area.


Hojjat al-Islam Navvab also emphasized the need to pay attention to and apply new knowledge in the field of Hajj and noted: Considering that the Islamic Republic of Iran has always been the leader in Hajj programs, the future horizon should be considered in this direction.
