Supreme Leader's mission readiness and support for pilgrimage trips of Iranians abroad

In the meeting of assistant Minister of foreign affairs and director general of Supreme Council of Iranians abroad with the Supreme Leader's representative in hajj and Pilgrimage affairs and head of the Iranian Pilgrims, this group expressed its readiness to provide services and support to Iranians living abroad for Hajj al-Tamattu , Umrah and pilgrimage trips to Atabat-e-Aliyat and also holy cities of Mashhad and Qom.

According to the Hajj information base, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab pointed out to the Supreme Leader's mission activities and also meetings held with Iranian compatriots living abroad in the form of pilgrimage caravans during the past years and during Hajj al-Tamattu and Umrah, at the meeting which was attended by deputy minister and the chairman of hajj and pilgrimage organization seyed Abbas Hosseini.


Mentioning the great interest of Iranians abroad to pilgrimage and strengthen their spirituality and devotion to the great Prophet (pbuh) and Ahl al-Bayt (pbuh), he welcomed the continuation of cooperation with the Secretariat of Supreme Council of Iranians living abroad, especially Mr. Dr. Sohrabi, who himself is familiar with the matter of visiting the holy shrines and Atabat-e-Aliyat.


Referring to the negotiations held with the relevant authorities in Saudi Arabia regarding the allocation of Hajj quota to Iranians abroad, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs


expressed hope that considering the beginning and development of relations between two countries and if the issue of allocation of quota to compatriots abroad is resolved, the country should provide necessary facilities for them.


Referring to different ways to provide suitable cultural and religious environment for Iranians living abroad traveling to their homeland and religious places, chairman of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization announced in the continuation of this meeting that the complex is ready to organize the relevant caravans.


In this meeting, assistant minister of foreign affairs also presented a report on the process of activities and follow-ups of the general administration of Supreme Council of Iranians abroad regarding all matters related to them as emphasized by the honorable president, in facilitating the movement of compatriots from abroad to the country in order to strengthen their cultural and religious identity.
