Basij week and Basij culture commemoration ceremony was held with the presence of hajj and pilgrimage officials and employees.

According to the Hajj information base, as the first day of Basij week, commemoration ceremony of Basij week and Basij culture was held on Monday (29 Aban) with the presence of Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab, chairman of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, a group of deputies, managers and the staff of this organization and also Supreme Leader Delegation Office employees in the meeting hall of Hajj and pilgrimage organization.


In his speech, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab congratulated Basij week and honored the memory of brave men who came to the scene during the time of need of Islam and Muslims. Even today, these serving and fighting forces do not fail to do what they are responsible for.


Referring to the establishment and formalization of the people's organization in the country, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs reminded the role of Basij and the proud Basijis during the Sacred Defense and explained the trans-regional role of this fruitful tree and said: in the countries where Basij was formed, it stands firmly against the enemies of Islam.


Expressing t characteristics of Basiji in behavior and spirit, he stated: Basiji is unashamed, hardworking and sincere and with the spirit of Basiji, it enters any scene where it feels the need, just as martyr Haj Qasim Soleimani was served in floods, earthquakes, etc.


In the culture and spirit of Basij, there is tirelessness hereafter thought, and it is present in all incidents and scenes of danger, he added.


In the continuation of his speech, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs pointed to some parts of Imam's (RA) message addressed to Basijis on Azar 2, 1367, and said: late Imam expresses more than 20 characteristics for the Basiji in this message.


Emphasizing the imam of Ummah's sublime view of the future and his vision of the future, he said: today, after 35 years, we have seen the realization of Imam's words, and the Zionist enemy has been stuck in front of a group of Basij fighters of Hamas for more than 44 days, warriors who are not an army, but stand in front of the enemy with the thinking and spirit of Basij.


Referring to increasing casualties of Zionist regime and targeting the military equipment of the child-killing regime in the Gaza war, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab considered the actions of Yemen's Ansarullah against the occupiers of Jerusalem to be in line with the thinking and culture of Basij.


At the end of his speech, he also referred to passages Ayatollah Khamenei’s words about Basij and Basijis, and mentioned 9 recommendations and advices on behalf of supreme leader to the Basijites, and attributed many of the country's developments to Basijite thinking.


In the continuation of this ceremony, head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, pointed out the Basij presence in various arenas and said: the name of Basij was linked with the name of Imam of Ummah (RA) in the Islamic Revolution.


Expressing some characteristics of Basij and Basijis and the spirit of Basijis in today's situation of the country, he said: Basij has sincerely played its role in any arena that the Islamic revolution is required.
