At the meeting of the Iranian pilgrims' head and head of the Mapim organization of Malaysia;
Consultation on holding a world summit in support of Palestine

Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs and head of the Islamic Organization of the Malaysian People's Consultative Council (MAPIM) met in Kuala Lumpur and exchanged views on holding a world summit with the cooperation of different countries in support of Palestine.

According to the Hajj information base, while attending the headquarters of Islamic Organization of the Malaysian People's Consultative Council (MAPIM), Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab met with Azmi Abdul Hamid, head of this organization, and expressed hope that this meeting would lead to the strengthening of relations between the two Muslim countries.


Referring to the close relations between two countries at the meeting, Azmi Abdul Hamid considered the Islamic Republic of Iran as an inspiration in the axis of resistance and stated: We are trying to improve the relations between the two sides in various fields, including aviation, student affairs and economic relations.


Emphasizing on the importance of Palestine issue, he announced serious support for the people of Gaza and suggested that a world summit of Islamic countries mosques would be held in support of Palestine with the cooperation of different countries and mosques must be active in this area.


reminding the efforts of the enemies of Islam to create division among Muslims, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs considered unity as the key to the victory of Islamic Ummah in confronting the enemies' conspiracies.


Appreciating the activities of the Islamic Organization of the Malaysian People's Consultative Council (MAPIM) head in supporting Jerusalem and Palestine, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab welcomed the proposal and said that Christian leaders and figures who are against infanticide and genocide should attend this summit.


Expressing regret that some Islamic countries acted in favor of the brutal regime on Gaza issue, he emphasized on avoiding differences and adopting a united position by Muslims in the Palestinian issue.


In the continuation of this meeting, Islamic Organization of the Malaysian People's Consultative Council (MAPIM) head pointed out the unfavorable situation of Muslim minorities in some ASEAN countries, announced the holding of the Asian Muslim Minorities Summit next year.


Recalling the formation of the world's largest public gathering in Arbaeen, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs stated that more attention will be paid to the Palestine issue during next year's Arbaeen.


At the end of this meeting, both sides expressed their views on some common issues and expressed hope that the relations between the two Muslim countries will be more developed.
