The trip of Umrah pilgrims postponed until the coming weeks
In order to provide more time for preparations before the pilgrim trip, the caravans of Umrah pilgrims will be dispatched to the Land of Revelation with a delay, it was announced at the meeting of Planning and coordination Council of Supreme Leader Delegation Office and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization.
According to the Hajj information base, announcing the news; chairman of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Mr. Seyyed Abbas Hosseini said: this decision was taken after consultation with the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance and Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs, and it was decided to provide necessary platform and with full capacity, the courses of Umrah trips will begin. The meeting was chaired by Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab.
He mentioned the pre-registration of more than 20 thousand people and explained the future plans of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization in order to complete the Umrah capacity in the coming months.
Referring to the beginning of future Hajj pre-registration in the next two weeks, Mr. Hosseini said: This group is ready to follow up the Hajj operation along with the Umrah. A number of officials and representatives of organizations cooperating with the Hajj and Pilgrimage complex in the field of Hajj and Umrah trips were attended at the meeting.
Pointing out that all the work and decisions are aimed at benefiting more pilgrims from these spiritual journeys, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs expressed hope that the pilgrims who will visit the land of revelation in the coming weeks after years of waiting have a smooth and good journey.
In the continuation of this meeting, chairman of the Red Crescent Society Mr. Pir Hossein Koulivand, head of the Civil Aviation Organization Mohammad Mohammadi Bakhsh, commander of the country's airport police Sardar Mohsen Aghili, and the representatives of the country's airport IRGC (Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps) and the Central Bank discussed their plans in order to provide facilities for the resumption of Umrah trips after 9-year break and dispatching Iranian pilgrims in a calm and favorable atmosphere and emphasized that there is preparation in this field by using previous experiences.
The meeting continued with the report of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization deputy in Atabat affairs Mr. Hamid Reza Mohammadi, regarding the process of dispatching pilgrimage caravans to Iraq.
Stating that since the beginning of this year, 373,000 people have been sent to Atbat with caravans under the supervision of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, he referred to the growth of 54% in this trips compared to the same nine months last year.
Stating that dispatching pilgrimage caravans to Iraq has grown respectively by 54% and 24% compared to 98 and 97, Mr. Mohammadi added: until Day 16, a new capacity has been created for about 30,000 people and so far about 5,200 people have been registered.
At the end of this meeting, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs thanked the related institutions cooperating with the Hajj and Pilgrimage and emphasized: we should all consider the satisfaction of pilgrims in serving and this is the biggest investment that the pilgrims will be sent to the hajj by hajj and pilgrimages complex.
