Attending the research week commemoration ceremony at Hajj and Pilgrimage Research Institute in Qom, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs pointed out to the ethics of research and said: It is appropriate for researchers to pay special attention to documents, sources and research texts with the approach of spiritualism, fairness and trustworthiness.
According to the Hajj information base, Attending the research week commemoration ceremony at Hajj and Pilgrimage Research Institute in Qom, Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab called research ethics as one of the important points in research.
Millions of people in the world are writing, some destroy others and seek to exonerate themselves, and the goal of some is to make a living, but some researchers seek to serve the people, he added.
Head of the Iranian pilgrims called having motivation in research very important and stating that the researcher should be spiritualist and write compassionately, he said: today there are some books in every house that are a sign of the spiritualism of the author of this work.
Emphasizing on fairness, synergism of knowledge, discovery of truth and also the use of appropriate words in research, he added: when a researcher writes, he or she should judge himself fairly whether this writing is useful for people and society or has an impact in this field or not?
Trustworthiness in research was one of the other points emphasized by Hojjat al-Islam Navvab. In this context he said: researchers' inscriptions should be well-founded and documented, not limited to speculations, and try to get to the main points in their writings.
Emphasizing on reviewing the needs based on solving the problem, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs called for research in order to solve the people and society's problems. He also advised the researchers not to spend their precious time on what the people do not need.
