Imam Ali (a.s) says:  فَرضَ اللهُ ... والحَجَّ تقوِیةً للدِّینِ Allah has made obligatory upon you the pilgrimage (Hajj), for it consolidates faith.See Nahj ul-Balagha; saying 244
