Registration of more than 45000 people for Hajj al-Tamattu 1403

Deputy of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization in Hajj and Umrah affairs Mr. Gholamreza Rezaei announced at the meeting of Planning and Coordination Council of Supreme Leader Delegation Office and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization that more than 45000 people have registered for Hajj al-Tamattu 1403.

According to the Hajj information base, Holders of priority documents can register in the Hajj reservation system by completing their information and deposit the initial payment by the end of Mehr 1386, Mr.Rezaei said at the meeting which was chaired by Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab.


An announcement regarding the selection of future Hajj caravans and payment will be published soon, he added.


In the continuation of this meeting, the latest status of the pilgrims dispatch to Umrah was reviewed and it was announced that due to the prolonged response of host country, so far about 11000 people have canceled their trip and withdrawn their funds.


Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage asked Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization officials to finalize the status of Umrah with the coordination of the government and the involved agencies within the next few days and pilgrims will be informed.


Still, no response has been received from the Saudi Civil Aviation Authority regarding the issuance of license for Umrah flights, and we are approaching the end of the Umrah season and the arrival of the month of Ramadan, and Ramadan Umrah also has its own conditions, Deputy of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization in Hajj and Umrah affairs added.


At the same time, Mr. Rezaei added: It is natural that people who have registered for Umrah and their funds will be returned, their document will remain stable and they will be in priority if Umrah is started.


In case of host country agrees, the dates of the Umrah trip and of course the cost will be determined and announced in the form of new packages, he said.


The latest actions regarding the currency transferring and determining the price of currency and plane tickets for the upcoming Hajj were among the other topics discussed in today's meeting.


Emphasizing on determining the fair price, head of the Iranian pilgrims stated that it should be planned in such a way that there is no disruption in scheduling and planning the process of Hajj.


The meeting ended with the presentation of a report on the structure of future Hajj caravans and the number of executive and cultural agents, and it was emphasized that on the process, the percentage of agents compared to pilgrims is still intended to decrease.


Stating that providing a better and more appropriate structure in this area can save the costs, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs clarified: staff training in executive and cultural areas in planning should have the necessary consistency and this is pilgrim's right.
