Iran and Algeria welcome cooperation of Hajj missions

According to the Hajj Information Base, Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab, the Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and pilgrimage affairs, and Dr. Bouabdullah Gholamullah, the head of Algeria's Supreme Islamic Council shared a picture of cooperation in the field of Hajj and discussed ways of further communication between the Hajj authorities of the two countries.

In a video conference, which was also attended by Hojjat al-Islam Mir Ahmadi, the International Relations Deputy of the Supreme Leader's representative's office, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab described Dr. Bouabdullah as one of the cultured figures in the Islamic world and the resilient country of Algeria, and he said: "Algeria has a clear history in defending human rights and fighting against aggressors and dictators."

He described the cultural commonalities of Algeria and Islamic Iran as abundant and said: "These two resilient countries fought global arrogance and defended the rights of their people."

The Supreme Leader's representative Hajj and pilgrimage affairs appreciated the efforts of Dr. Bouabdullah to establish a dialogue between Islamic religions and to bring closer and expand the relations among Muslims, especially the scholars of Iran and Algeria, and said: "The view of late Imam Khomeini and the Supreme Leader of the Revolution is also unity among Muslims. and cooperation and coordination for the advancement of the Islamic world.

Hojjat al-Islam Navvab pointed out the coordination of the two countries in many global issues and considered the martyrdom of the defenseless and oppressed people of Palestine by the occupying aggressors as an indication of the cruelty and malice of those who seek to conquer the world with the slogan of liberal democracy. He added: "The Zionist aggressors brutally kill the Palestinian people, who are the real owners of the land, and do not show mercy to their children and women."

Based on this report, the Speaker of the Supreme Islamic Council of Algeria mentioned the people and government of Iran as defenders of Islam and Muslims, and said: "Imam Khomeini restored independence to the nation and government of Iran."

The highest religious authority of Algeria stated that the occupation and crimes of the Zionist regime are carried out with the support of the United States and some Western governments. 

In this video communication, the two sides also welcomed the cooperation in the field of Hajj and Hojjat al-Islam Navvab expressed hope that they will meet with the officials of the Algerian Hajj mission in the Land of Revelation and exchange views with each other.

Referring to the activities and capacities of the Hajj and Visitation Research Institute, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab suggested that a joint cooperation document to be signed between Iran and Algeria in order to share experiences and further cooperation in the field of Hajj. The Speaker of the Supreme Islamic Council of Algeria while welcoming this proposal stated that he will convey the issue to the Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments of his country.
