Iran and Thailand Hajj officials consult

Hajj officials of Iran and Thailand met in Bangkok and discussed cooperation in Hajj area.

According to the Hajj information base, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab and head of Hajj affairs and deputy of Interior minister of Thailand discussed cooperation in Hajj area at the meeting of two sides in Bangkok.


Head of the Hajj affairs of Thailand explained at the meeting about the situation of Muslims in this country and mentioned the number of quotas of his country in Hajj, registration and dispatching of Thai pilgrims to the land of revelation.


Head of the Iranian Pilgrims also thanked for the measures regarding Hajj affairs, managing religious affairs and supporting the activities of Thai Muslims.


In response to the contents raised by the Thai Hajj affairs official regarding the expenses and management of Hajj affairs in Iran, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs pointed to the activities of executive, medical and cultural departments of Iran's Hajj affairs under the supervision of Amir al-Haj and gave a summary of the performance of Hajj and pilgrimage organization and other departments.


Describing consultations as useful, head of the hajj affairs of Thailand was asked traveling to Iran to learn more about how Hajj affairs are managed in our country, and head of the Iranian Pilgrims also announced his readiness to transfer experiences in this field.


Hojjat al- Islam Navvab also mentioned the activities of Hajj and Pilgrimage Research Institute and by introducing the programs of this complex, he donated some of the research institute's products and publications to Thai side.


Referring to the history of good relations between Iran and Thailand, especially since the time of Sheikh Ahmad Qomi, and also referring to holding of Arbaeen ceremony and the large presence of Muslims, including Iranians in this spiritual ceremony, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs announced his readiness to help Thai pilgrims in this regard.


Pointing out to the world day of Quds and the philosophy behind the naming of this day by Imam Khomeini (R.A.), he emphasized the necessity of holding the event magnificently in Islamic countries, considering the developments in the issue of Palestine and the Gaza Strip.


Interior minister deputy of Thailand also thanked the Islamic Republic of Iran role in the release of Thai hostages in the Gaza war and said: This move made the Thais have a very good view on Iran and Iranians today.


According to this report, at the end of this meeting, cultural consultant of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mr. Mehdi Zare’a in Thailand, explained the cultural commonalities of the two countries and the activities of this consultation.
