Nationwide conference of clerics, deputy heads of Hajj caravans held in Qom

According to the Hajj and Pilgrimage Information Base, in this conference, which was attended live and through virtual space by clerics, deputy heads of Hajj caravans from other provinces, Hojjat al-Islam Abdolfattah Navvab, the Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs, in a speech while referring that nearly 900,000 people are waiting for Haj, said that in recent years, efforts have been made to send more pilgrims to the land of revelation by reducing the number of servants and agents.

He stated that after nearly two decades of Hajj registration, a number of people who had registered died without ever seeing the house of God, and added: In the upcoming Hajj, the lowest rate of dispatching servants and agents compared to all In the past periods, we will have Hajj and by reducing the number of servants, seven caravans have been added to the pilgrims of God's house.

While appreciating the efforts of those involved in organizing the Hajj, the head of Iranian pilgrims called it necessary to revise the past plans in view of the developments and conditions of the day, and said that the goal is to provide more services from the servants.

Addressing the audience, he said that the pilgrims who have been waiting in line for years are now demanding.

Hojjat al-Islam Navvab pointed to the improvement of the level of knowledge and information of the pilgrims compared to the past, and clarified that the clergy of the caravans should be informed and up-to-date and in fulfilling the responsibility that we all have, they should prioritize sincerity in order to influence the hearts of the pilgrims of the house of God. 

The head of Iranian pilgrims pointed out that with the efforts of those involved in Hajj and pilgrimage, a sum of money was returned due to savings or lack of service in the host country during the last Hajj, which will soon be deposited into the pilgrims' account, and continued: In the country, it is believed that the cost of Hajj is expensive, while the costs abroad are calculated based on the foreign exchange rate.

He further pointed to the conditions of the world today, and said that these conditions did not exist in the previous years, the situation of the world today is inflamed and the fire under the ashes between the West and the East is burning every now and then.

The head of Iranian pilgrims stated that the two large and punitive operations "Al-Aqsa Storm" and "Wadeh Sadeq" and the arrogant support of the genocide of the oppressed Palestinian people by the Zionists have made the situation more complicated, adding: "Some free countries that do not have a special dependence on defending the cause of Palestine and its free nation.

At the end of his speech, he explained by reading the samples of several surveys: evaluation of clerics in Hajj is done in two models, one is done by liaisons and the other one is through an internet survey that is conducted among pilgrims and is effective in dispatches.

Based on this report, the conference continued with the speech of Mr. Seyed Abbas Hosseini, the head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization. In his speech, he referred to the motto of this year's Hajj, "Hajj; Quran-centered, empathy and authority of the Islamic Ummah, defense of oppressed Palestine" stated: One of Imam Khomeini's strategies to support the Palestinian nation was the Abrahamic Hajj and the ceremony of acquittal from polytheists, and this strategy is based on the conditions that the ruling levels of Islam is followed to this day.

"Regarding executive and cultural activities and programs, we have made all our efforts to have a successful performance in this big operation, which includes more than 85 thousand people. However, there are many challenges in this path that we are aware of," he added.

The head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization announced that with the efforts of the Central Bank and our colleagues, the currency required for Hajj has entered the account of this organization, and the issuance of pilgrims' visas is being followed up.

He continued that while the foreign exchange cost of Hajj is 319 dollars less than last year due to the efforts made, the changes in exchange rates and plane tickets have caused an overlap in the costs, but there is no change in services in different departments compared to previous years and these things should be explained to the pilgrims.

Mr. Hosseini stated that we expect help from each and every one of you, clerics and Hajj servants, and added: We are facing many challenges, for example, we lack space in Mina and Arafat, and it is necessary to explain these things to the pilgrims before the trip. 

He mentioned the measures taken to facilitate internet communication between pilgrims and their families from the host country, and by referring to the physical condition of the pilgrims and the presence of elderly people in the caravans, he called for attention to this issue.

In this conference, Hojjatul al-Islam Seyed Hossein Roknuddini, the cultural deputy of the delegation of the Supreme Leader, gave recommendations to the attendees and said: It is expected that the policies of the delegation of the Supreme Leader will be followed in this spiritual journey.

He explained how to fill the free time of the pilgrims after performing Hajj rituals and rituals. Referring to the implementation of the mobile cultural library project, he said that pilgrims can stay in 60 hotels in Makkah, and book reading competitions can also be organized.

Hojjat al-Islam Roknuddini pointed out the doubts that may be raised during the Hajj, and reminded: the clerics and pilgrims should answer these doubts by respecting the issues and pay attention to the Mavedat plan".

According to this report, Ayatollah Sheikh Javad Marvi, a member of Qom seminary community of teachers and one of the foreign professors, was the speaker of this conference who spoke about guidance and stated that guidance needs attention.

He said that as a missionary, you should behave with kindness and appear among the people with awareness.

"The world is thirsty to hear the true teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt, and this year's Hajj has created a special opportunity for us and the Iranian Islamic Revolution, which is unique in history, and in this regard, we must do our duty in order to preserve the unity and correct transmission of the teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt," he added.

The conference continued with the description of cultural measures by Hojjat al-Islam Mohammad Ali Akhavian, the director of educational and cultural affairs of the mission's cultural deputy, the Supreme Leader, and the protection recommendations and considerations by Hojjat-ul-Islam Seyed Yasin Mousavizadeh, and then Hojjat al-Islam Gholam Abbas Eshrati, the director of recruitment and organization of the cultural deputy of the mission. Presenting statistics, he said: More than 710 clerics, clerics, and clerics will be sent for this year's Hajj, and it is expected that with the presence and activity of clerical women, good services will be provided to women pilgrims.
