Head of Iranian Pilgrims Stresses Providing Services and Facilitating the Affairs of Pilgrims
The Supreme Leader's representative and head of Iranian pilgrims, addressing the gathering of journalists in Medina, asked all the servants of pilgrims to perform their duties well and emphasized that the basis of work is to serve the pilgrims.
According to the Hajj Information Base, Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab, who arrived in Medina on Friday night along with Seyed Abbas Hosseini, the head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization and a group of officials from this area, in a press conference while explaining the plans of Hajj Tamattu 1403 to reporters asked all the servants to perform their duties well and emphasized that the basis of "our work is to serve and facilitate the affairs of pilgrims".
"In this year's hajj, we should have new things and provide more activities compared to previous years. The legitimacy of our presence in this land is to serve the pilgrims, and if we neglect it, it will be difficult to answer on the day of judgment," he added.
Referring to the fact that hundreds of thousands of people are still waiting for Hajj, he said that the pilgrims who have now been allowed to perform Hajj have been waiting for about 18 years and have been active for a long time, but now they are adults. "We must serve them and figure out how we can provide them services quickly and easily."
Referring to the protests of academics in the West, the head of Iranian pilgrims pointed to the position of professors and students and said, "In Islam, students and professors have a special position and angels spread their wings for them. Also, Imam Ali (AS) says that if you see a scientist, be his servant. The master's hand is to be kissed, not handcuffed! This is while professors and students in the west of the land of Azadi freedom?! They are arrested and handcuffed for expressing their opinion."
Referring to some of the Supreme Leader's statements regarding the Abrahamic Hajj, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab said, "In the orders and messages published by Imam Khomeini and the Supreme Leader, the importance of unity has been noted and mentioned, because the victory of the forces of Islam will be achieved with unity and if someone calls for division, it is not God's call, but Satan's call."
"One of the teachings of Prophet Abraham (PBUH) is to be free from enemies. Hajj of acquittal; Hajj enlightens and explains the teachings of the true prophet of God," he added.
In response to a question, he pointed to the establishment of Umrah trips with the efforts made and coordination between the two countries, and said, "The authorities of our country have opened this closed chapter and many Iranian pilgrims will enjoy Umrah after Hajj."
Iranian pilgrims have been sent to Saudi Arabia since Ordibehesht 24. This year, more than 87,000 Iranians are participating in the Hajj ceremony.
