First Meeting of Hajj 1403 Officials Was Held in Medina

The Supreme Leader's representative Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs addressing the meeting of the officials of Hajj 1403 in Medina, asked everyone to plan and act in such a way that the pilgrim feels that what is necessary for his honor has been foreseen and prepared.

According to the Hajj Information Base, in the first meeting of the planning and coordination council of the Supreme Leader and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, which was held today under the chairmanship of Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab, the head of Iranian pilgrims in Medina, the officials of the cultural, executive and medical fields in the report separately explained the actions and plans made for the 1403 Hajj operation and welcoming the pilgrims.


Hojjat al-Islam Navvab also asked everyone to plan and act in such a way that the pilgrim feels that what is necessary to honor him has been foreseen and prepared in Hajj 1403.


In this meeting, which was attended by Seyed Abbas Hosseini, the head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, the ambassador and consul general of Iran in Riyadh and Jeddah, and the deputies and managers of the mission of the supreme leader and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, Ali Asghari, the head of the Medina headquarters said that services have been provided to 10,200  pilgrims in the city of Medina, and said, "In the first stage of the departure of the caravans from Medina, more than 1,750 pilgrims in the form of 14 caravans will go to Mecca by express train tonight after putting on ihram at the Shajara Mosque.


He considered that the services in different departments are being provided without interruption and Hojjat al-Islam Navvab clarified that the issue of the presence of caravans in Rouza Sharif should be followed up with more precision and sensitivity from the company that is responsible for this responsibility.


In the continuation of this meeting, Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Hossein Roknuddini, cultural deputy of the Supreme Leader's representative, pointed to taking necessary measures to provide services to Iranian pilgrims in the Shajara Mosque, and Hojjat al-Islam Navvab stressed the need for greater coordination between the officials of this area and the Medina headquarters in holding of cultural and religious programs, especially the circles of Ons and Marafat and affinity with the Holy Qur'an.


The meeting continued with the report of Dr. Seyed Ali Marashi, the head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Medical Center, regarding the preparation of clinics in Medina and Mecca Hospital to provide medical services to the pilgrims, and he explained the transfer of the required medicines from Iran to the host country and measures for their clearance. 


In the continuation of this meeting, Ali Reza Enayati, the Ambassador and Mr. Hassan Zarnagar, the Consul General of Iran in Jeddah, reported on the developments in the relations between the two countries after the establishment of relations in the past one year and stated that with the positive interaction of the officials of the two countries, these relations will speed up and Appropriate care has been taken and the discussion, consultation and exchange of views continues in line with the development and progress of bilateral relations and important issues of the Islamic world and the region.


The head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization while referring to some cases that have remained between the two countries since the past and must be followed up and resolved, requested the cooperation and assistance of the foreign ministry in the host country in these matters.


The representative of Wali-Faqih regarding Hajj and Pilgrimage also reminded the need to prioritize in these cases and said: Issues left over from Hajj and Umrah in the past years can be pursued and resolved in the atmosphere of intimacy and friendship created.


He asked the Iranian ambassador to follow up the issue of using Taif airport for flights of Iranian pilgrims from the officials of the host country, and said that using this airport can facilitate the transfer of pilgrims in Hajj and Umrah and will result in their greater satisfaction.


At the beginning of this meeting, the head of Iranian pilgrims also mentioned the need to use the teachings of Prophet Abraham (PBUH), especially unity, in the coming Hajj, and by listing the eight prerequisites stated for the Islamic Ummah in the last verses of Surah Hajj, he emphasized that the teachings of Abraham shows itself better and more in the Islamic world.
