Iranian pilgrims in Medina mourn for "Martyr of duty"
Various groups of Prophet's Shrine pilgrims spontaneously mourned the martyrs of the duty in an atmosphere full of sadness.
According to the Hajj information base, Pilgrims of Baitullah Al-Haram visited the Prophet's tomb and the graves of Imams (PBUH) buried in Jannat al-Baqi, as soon as they arrived in Medina on Ordibehesht 24.
During these days, they were doing their daily duties when suddenly a sad news shocked them. They were waiting for news from more than 1600 kilometers away in the land of revelation, so that maybe some news or announcement could calm their hearts.
For several hours, there was no news about the fate of Ayatollah Raisi, the president of our country, and his accompanion delegation, and people everywhere were praying for an opening. In Medina, the pilgrims had been resorted to the Prophet of Islam and imams buried in Baqi, and with tearful eyes, they asked God to calm the hearts of Iranian people as soon as possible. But at dawn on Ordibehesht 31, the news made a nation mourn. It was reported that Ayatollah Raisi and his companions were martyred in a helicopter accident.
After the announcement of this unfortunate news, the pilgrims of the caravans of Land of Revelation in Mecca and Medina recited Quran individually and collectively in gratitude for the services of the martyred president and held a commemoration ceremony.
Sirjani's caravan of pilgrims located at Hayat Almasi Hotel in Medina was one of the caravans that from the very first moments of this unfortunate incident, began prayer and recite Holy Quran, and held a mourning ceremony.
